This is so true. I had to call the local power company (SDG&E / San Diego) and their automated system drove me insane when trying to schedule a service disconnect and reconnect at another place. I tried "agent", "operator", "representative", and whatever other option it would potentially accept. Nothing worked. No option to talk to a live body. "Enter the date ... bla bla bla". I ended up punching 911911911911911 (or more) into the system until that shitty system realized that it maybe should connect me to an agent.

I needed a drink after that experience and it was not even 9:00 AM ...
