2022 F250 Tremor Battery Time

so would there be any reason to get the x2 premium agm with 930 cca rather than the duracell platinum agm with 775 cca. the x2 is $100 more. both from batteries plus.

Yes. They look cool.

IMO if you don’t have a bunch of aftermarket lights, big stereo upgrades, or spend a lot of time in very cold weather I personally don’t think the added cost is worth it. I’m not saying they aren’t great batteries but for me the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. Believe me I tried to justify the cost to myself but I can’t. If you got Oprah money go for it. If you try and balance cost vs need I don’t see the advantage.

Now if I only had to buy 1 battery I may splurge but buying 2 X2 batteries for a diesel truck makes me think twice.

i dont have oprah money, but i did stay at a holiday inn express last night, and i am in cold weather quite often in the winter, as you can see by my avatar. that is a real picture of me !!

I’ve spent a month in -17 degree weather with 3 year old interstate AMG batteries from Costco and had zero problems starting my truck. That’s all u can say about that.

How good are Costco's AGMs with 36 months? My 6.0L needs new cells; had never thought about Coscto for batteries and seems like a deal at $180 a pop.

The 5 year old red tops have had a good life but they're done.

costco's interstate agm are made by clarios or east penn. there energizer agm is made by energizer. that's all i know. google search.

Costco does not test batteries if you return them...... Just saying.

they prorate them now, the jig is up. bought one for my old lady's shitbox yesterday.

Well, I would think either will work but when I see your primary use for the truck, i.e. "Platinum Iconic Silver 6.7, winter tow rig for the sleds", the extra power may not be a bad idea in cold weather. Just because they are rated for 930 or 775, doesn't mean they will have that capacity forever; they will lose capacity over time. For me, I usually opt for more power every time. I do have the aux heater and accessories, but no winch. If you do also and maybe have a winch, 930 will last a bit longer for work. But if not, save some money and get the Duracell. Duracell is working great in my boat.

So you're saying every 2 years I will simply need new ones? I like that deal - plus one!
But now Costco prorates the 3 years. It used to be full replacement. I’ve bought 5 batteries from Costco. Well I’ve had 5 batteries from Costco. 1 in wife’s car and is 4 years old. No problems starting. It’s a FLD

My pervious diesel I bought a pair and 1 died after about 2 1/2 years. When I took it back they swapped it for a new one. When I saw they didn’t test it I brought the other one back and they swapped that under warranty. Those 2 warranty batteries were in my truck until I sold it. Well over 3 years old.

Now they do a prorated warrranty so no more free bee every 22 months

All of them were FLD batteries so it’s not apples to apples comparison I know

I love the fact that Costco is so easy to work with, that alone is well worth the bargain.
