Well, this just showed up, and it looks to have improved upon AT3W in multiple categorizes.

True that , although their 35/12.50/18 is a true 35 at least, most other tires i looked at are somewhere in the 34.5-34.8 range.

Tread life went up “.5” the at3w are a great tire. Have some on some work trucks and they are awesome in the snow. I run BFG ko2 on my personal stuff and they are great too. There is a new BFG “ko3” out that has had horrible reviews. I imagine the “at3w” will be the same. Tread life has gone up, probably a harder rubber but not by much. I bet at3w guys who run the new at4w will hate them.

Time will tell. I had AT3W for 12K miles and loved it. Was a great all around tire, soft and very quiet ride. I just didn’t like the weight and felt it in 37/12.50/18 at near 80lbs.

In fairness, ko2 is one of those tires where ko2 guys will hate the ko3 just because it's not the ko2. It could be 10% better in every metric including price but because it isn't the OG ko2 it must be trash. I'm not saying it is or isn't better (because I don't know), I'm just saying that ko2 has quite a following even amongst people who don't know jack about tires.

For real. I've been eyeing the Baja Boss AT in 305/70R18 as well for next tire choice.

Thats another 75lbs monster for a 35. Might as well get that lower steering stabilizer to go with your front diff cover to keep it in check.

So glad you did this. My eyes were getting pissed off having to look over each list multiple times to compare the correct categories/values!

Not sure how more plys equals less Max Load rating. So if you want a heavier tire is guess old school is the way to go.

Then you realize the website id showing the specs for the AT3W, on the ATW4 page.....cause the Item Numbers are exactly the same.

Good observation. It is possible they will simply replace some AT3W sizes with AT4W then, while others might remain in AT4W only. Just my guess.

I stand corrected . I looked at the chart, but at the bottom where 37s would NORMALLY be. I like the specs.
