Project HeyFool

Love the setup! Curious on how much the antenna weighs and how you protect the gear when traveling. Did you modify the mount for the Builtright mounts for the antenna?

It weights about 10 pounds. Right now I have been using the original box with its packaging it was shipped with. I plan on getting a waterproof hard case in the near future. I will either get a pelican case with foam or I will order a case that others have made for the Starlink. Not sure on the route I will go just yet, but I know I need a case for when I do some heavy exploring in back country.

As for the mount, I did not need to modify anything. SpaceX made the mount holes with 2" on center that match up perfectly with the bedside rack from Built Right Industries. I would highly recommend using their molle nuts, because using normal bolts would be harder to install. Still doable, but their nuts made it super fast and easy.

Does the black metal bracket around your fog lights clip in place or are they screw retained? I love this look, nice work!
Thanks!

They are bolted onto the bumper.

Perfect, I am ordering some now, sure appreciate your pics and the time you took to post your mods. Thanks again!

Truck is looking good! I love my built right panels - the mole nuts work great!

Another thing you might like, that I have found very useful is Bull Ring Stainless Steel pop up tie down rings for bed rails - easy install, work great - like having pop up cleats on your boat! $50 and 10 minutes to install all 4.

Thanks! Just need my Carli suspension this month.

Funny that you mentioned the Bull ring tie downs because I actually did install those. They do come in handy. Just forgot to post about them. Actually used them to take some yard waste to the dumb recently. Not the best shot of them but they helped tie all this down.

Got my Carli E-Venture System installed in my truck. Along with 37" Toyo Open Country ATIII on 18" Method HD rims. Really loving the upgrade. I can feel the difference going off road at speed.

Congrats - I just passed 18,000 miles with mine - love it! We have the same set up - suspension, wheels, tires! Enjoy it!

I absolutely love it. I have no glare and the output is excellent. I will try to get some photos and maybe a video of it this weekend. I used to have a curved light bar above my windshield on my old F-150 and would have lots of hood glare. The 2 XL80s put out just about the same amount of lumens as my old light bar, but without the glare. (To be fair my last truck was white and my F-350 is gray so that might help with the glare a little bit)

Overall, I would absolutely buy these and install them again. I don't think I need any more lights on the front now.
Bought the SDHQ and XL80s thanks to your build and I’m blown away. Absolutely amazing. Thank you for the detailed post and help.

super clean build! thanks for the BD night shots. That's my next mod along with adding the factory winch

Glad to help. I use them all the time.

Thanks I appreciate it. Glad it can help you decide on your mod. For sure worth it and I use them all the time. I love my winch too. I actually just used it recently and will have a video of it in action soon.

Got to use my winch for the first time. Nothing crazy, but a fun and easy way to break her in. It's always cool when you get to use something you bought especially in a time of need.

did you match paint your front grill or is that part of the package?

Been awhile since I posted updates on the truck. Got slammed with work and life. Got some more updates to share...

I decided to add a truck bed shower made out of 4" ABS and about 6.5 feet long from the help of others on here and an REI overland shower guide.

Was really easy to build. The hardest part was to be patient and let the abs glue set to be able to handle the max pressure before using it.
