Looking to buy a single Tremor wheel for the spare tire so I can include it in rotations. Very open to other folks jumping in on this thread so we can split a set of 4 in a group buy of sorts.

I have thought about doing the same... willing to split as well although I realize shipping may become problematic. Who knows, just keeping options open!

Spare Tire size is the same correct? Spare Just comes on a different wheel?

I bought a take off set and replaced the spare underneath. The factory spare is a steel wheel and not the same tire. I’ll snap a pic when I’m get back home

Right - but as long as it's under the truck why do you want a matching wheel unless you are rotating it into the mix. It's not like a Jeep where you need 5 matching because everyone stares at it.

That said - would I prefer a matching wheel - yep.

Factory steel wheel spare is a 17” wheel with a 17/ /245 Michelin street tire on it.

Here are pics of factory spare next to stock wheel and tire (Duratrac)

Eh? I thought the spare was a Duratrac on a steel wheel.

I wanted my spare to perform the same as the others, not just be something to get me back to the shop. If you spend some time in remote areas, camping/overlanding/wheeling, you don't want to have to find the nearest tire shop that likely doesn't have your tire in stock. For this reason, I have a full size spare underneath, and a second full size spare with me when I am out off the grid.

OK - I will take one for sure. If I find a set of four in my neck of the woods I will buy them.

Any fitment issues getting the full size mounted up in there?

It’s tight. But does fit without trimming or cutting anything.

I just got back from a trip to Big Bend National Park. We were originally planning to take our new truck that we ordered last April. Unfortunately we are still waiting for it, so we took the car. We wanted to hike to Balanced Rock, but had to go 5 miles on a gravel road to get there and had a flat. The only thing we had for a spare was a donut tire. The closest place to get the tire repaired was in Marathon, which was about 80 miles away. Fortunately we made it but only dared to go 50 MPH on a 75 MPH road. I would not want to have to do that on a truck that I’m spending over $80 K for. Someone has rocks for brains.
