Windshield Recall

Not really sure, the service writer mentioned that it, "came out yesterday," so I'm not really sure how exactly to interpret that, but mine is being fixed between today and Monday. Just picked up my loaner F-150 with 29 miles on it....

checked mine at ford help .com easy to use just type in your vin . nothing as of today lol

There might be a bug in the application. I also have my wife's Edge on FordPass and because there is a recall on brakes I have a red exclamation mark on the Recall icon in the upper left corner of the application. When clicking into that, I see my trucks nickname and the windshield recall displayed in there. At the bottom of the recall notice it will also allow you to schedule service (which I haven't used yet).
As FordPass is tied to the VIN it should only show up if associated with your VIN.

Ford Pass shows nothing for my truck but the help.com.ford site shows a recall that's currently incomplete.

Mine didn't as well until I clicked into the recall screen. The recall date was 4/7 and the recall number is 21C06. I'm not sure why it doesn't show the red exclamation mark or show the recall on the second screen.

Neither the website nor app shows that I have a recall for my '21 made on 12/8/2020.

Got my alert today through Carfax vehicle health alerts that the dealer sets up. Nothing in FordPass yet. When someone has this done please tell us if they give a new windshield or reuse the old one! Thanks!

My recall was completed today and happy to say that my brand new windshield was removed and replaced without issue. I went through the details with the guy at the glass shop and he mentioned that he has A LOT of windshield recalls to perform.

He showed me the "sealant" that he removed and said it was like peeling candle was out. Once he grabbed a piece and pulled, it let go and came out all in one continuous piece of sealant: completely ineffective.

Now it's back together and he did a great job.

I bought my new 2021 last week off the lot and They wouldn’t (and I assume legally can’t) release the vehicle to me with the open recall. In the end the sales rep got it done on time for my scheduled pickup last Wednesday- sounds like they took it to the local auto glass shop. I can’t even tell they touched the truck - probably pretty straightforward for an auto glass shop.

Picked up mine Friday but it was ordered. They made no mention of the recall and the windshield is still on!

this popped up in my FordPass app the other day and the letter came in the mail today. Have an appt Thursday to get it done.

A little annoying but not a big deal and glad it wasn't the tranny recall.

Just got my recall letter today also. What is Ford doing? I would like to go ahead an have my tint shop tint the new one if there replacing them.

Been on my Ford Pass for a couple of weeks now. Just received letter in the mail today. Called my dealer and they have a window company coming to the dealership and will do multiple that day. Remove the windshield resealt it and reinstall. Giving me a rental the day before as well. Didn’t ask if they replace the glass are they going to replace the tint on it, will have to remember to do that.

Looks like Im impacted, have not heard anything, thanks for the info! Nothing on Ford owner site, says no recall, but truck was built in December 2020 in Kentucky.

When you are on the home page for your vehicle, if you have a recall, it will have a red notification symbol in one of the upper corners of the screen you can click on and the notification page will open.

Going to see what shop is doing my dealers installs as my ford pass app says im affected as I would like to get it tinted while its out.
May just wait awhile as im sure ill get a rock peck before long around here.
