Usually I add about 15 lbs over the winter, but this year it’s running more like 25lbs due to covid and all the quarantine eating/drinking.

I'm really confused about this post. In the Winter, the bed is usually loaded with heavy snow! I sometimes shovel some of it out, but tend to leave it for ballast. If the bed is not loaded with snow, then that means I don't need any ballast, so why worry about it? I can certainly see 2WD camaros and mustangs needing a couple of bags of kittly litter in their trunks, but truck owners have a naturally adaptive ballast catching system... use it!
