First thank you for that explanation. I understand now. Second how often do you have to dump the catch? Is it when you change the oil or is there an indicator?

I’m still feeling out how often I need to empty it. I’m nearing my next oil change, first one at my full 5000 mile interval, and there’s still a good amount of space left. Means I should be able to do it every oil change but I’ll want another full oil change cycle before I feel comfortable going the entire distance without checking it.

Someone else on the forum (forget who) mentioned emptying theirs once a month. But I don’t know how many miles they drive, nor which catch can they have. Different catch cans are different sizes (purely impacts holding capacity) and the UPR is on the larger size.

JLT is another, cheaper catch can for the 7.3 and it’s smaller in size. Don’t know by exactly how much, though.

@Vermonster, check out this thread: Hidden front hitch receiver. This guy went with a Neutrik PowerCon connector that is about half as wide as the NoCo plug. It is a special plug but you can pick them up off of Amazon for $10 - $15, so they're easy to come by. Might make your relocation easier...

Oh and forgot to answer this! No indicator, but it takes all of a minute to spin the can off, take a look, and spin it back on.
