Looking to change my fuel filters soon. Where do you all take your drained fuel when complete. Our recycling centers here don't take it and looks like the part stores don't either.

I dump it in my 5 gallon pale of used oil and take it all to the recycler.
this is what I assumed everyone did, dump it in with the waste oil change oil and send it to the recycler. I guess you could dump it in the used oil container at advance auto too

I’ve been doing it that way for 20 plus years, there is a small mom and pop oil service place near me that takes used oil. Years ago I asked him, he said as long as antifreeze isn’t mixed in and it’s all oil products then it’s good to go. I don’t see the big deal of adding a bit of diesel to several gallons of used oil. After all, there’s some fuel dilution in the oil anyway 😬

On a side note, there’s guys at advanced auto state on,y motor oil.

There’s a transmission shop down the street from me that has a used oil burner furnace they use for heating I just dump the fuel in with my 5 gal oil change buckets and dump in their tanks

That’s pretty common, the city I work for, the maintenance side uses used oil to heat their shop. Around here, most used oil is either used for road tar mix or heat.

Might be a good excuse to make a fire pit. Buddy from work lives in the sticks. He said I could bring it to his wood pile.
Oh yeah, try clearing and grading companies too. They use diesel to start their burn piles 👍
