Do you have this set up with the new ARB twin brushless compressor?

Ummmmm…. That is literally the thread you are in. Read the title.

Troy made the under chassis mount with braided lines and a tank because the new brushless compressor melts air lines and gets too hot to be in the cab like his brushed compressor kit.

So yes this is for the new brushless twin.

My bad. I went back and read it and notice my illiterate self had paid attention to where they were talking about the brushed compressor. Sorry for wasting your time Tramper.

I also, have the new Brushless Twin. This week I texted ARB because I noticed that their website advertising on this unit now highlights “Active Cooling” they replied that there has not been any design changes since product introduction but that they were just revising their description to address concerns that have been noted in the marketplace like our forum.

I’ll be honest I’m not yet sure how big this issue is because I don’t have mine installed yet. Also I suspect that the heat generated by compression in air (particularly with the high speed CFM generation this unit makes) can be somewhat mitigated by airline size which I intend to do in my installation. ARB has a great reputation so I’m having a hard time believing this is a huge issue they would have had to see this in product development.

No worries brother. I had to read your post a few times to make sure it wasn’t me who was missing something. FWIW Troy put a ton of time into this new kit and if it’s what you’re looking for I’m sure you’ll be happy.

I have the behind the seat kit for the brushed compressor and don’t know how I lived without it! Hahaha. Definitely a great company to buy from. Good luck!

I was on the fence until I read the instructions. If the attention to detail reflected there is in the rest of the kit, then this is a no brainer. Ordered today.

Thanks Code Red,

I went to college for Mechanical Engineering, and my least favorite class was English literature. I'm trying to make that teacher who gave me C- proud of me 28 years later.

All jokes aside. I don't want to unnecessarily cut into my Superduty any more than you do, so I tried to make the instructions as clear as possible. A good day is when my phone never rings for clarification or additional details on assembly.

Thanks for the order.

Do you offer a kit to mount the "brushless" compressor behind the seat? Or does it get too hot or something?

The new brushless compressor runs very hot and is noisy compared to the previous design, for these reasons we are mounting the brushless compressor and 2.5 gallon air tank above the rear spare tire.

From his first post…

This is my Litmus test as well.

I recently ordered an ARB twin brushless compressor and once I received it and read the install instructions, I had questions on how to connect to the upfitter switches. So I called ARB tech support. The new trigger wire is the red wire. See the attached wiring diagram. I hope this helps fellow Tremor owners getting one for the holidays. I haven't installed mine yet, but getting all the parts together and planning install is step 1.

For those of you who asked, the CJC Trophy Hitch is 100% compatible with our 2017-2026, Ford Super Duty (BRUSHLESS) Dual ARB Compressor Kit, Above The Spare Tire

In addition the Trophy hitch will also fit our 2017-2026, Ford Super Duty (BRUSHED) Dual ARB Compressor Kit, Above The Spare

I presume when you said "CJC Trophy Hitch" you mean the Carli Trophy Hitch - which CJC sells correct - with the Carli Trophy hitch and a 37" spare in place, will I still be able to fit the tank in there?

You are a 100% correct, I mis-spoke, yes the Carli Trophy Hitch. The air tank is mounted on the rear cross member, where the two studs sticking out of the cross member are, see marked up picture below. The ARB compressor is mounted next to the OEM tire crank jack, and is not effected by the tire location or size.

I'll ask here since the talk on the tank mounting conversation is fresh, but have you considered expanding your behind the seat brushed kit to include the 2.5gal tank as well? I know you sell the above the tire version with the tank, and you can purchase the mounting bracket separately, but has there been any thought to expanding the behind the seat version to include the tank, mounting bracket, and added hose//couplers one would need to add a tank above the spare?

Still a long way out on me getting around to this, but it's on the (long, oh so very long) list of things to do... Thanks!

So I know this question isn’t 100% for this kit, but pertains to it nonetheless. Is the tank big enough to air up two 37” tires without waiting to refill?

If not, is there room for a second tank?

Thinking about when I go from towing to not and airing up the tires.
