Tremors Towing Things

Weekend on the boarder of Idaho/Utah
Awesome setup. I currently have a Solitude and am looking at a Momentum (need to bring the toys). Which model do you have? Any concerns with hitch weight? How does she squat (I have the Airlift 5K bags and can remove all squat with the Solitude). Looking at a 398M so hitch weight should be similar to my Solitude. Thx!

I have looked at both the 381MS and the 398M as those are the floorplans and toy space I want - both have pin weight about 3K +/- and both 20K GVWR - Tremor is only rated for 19k - my door sticker is 3,200 +/- on my F-350 diesel - 15k unloaded - seems like a trailer size for a dually - too much for our Termors - I also have Airlift 5k airbags - so I have been focused on ATC 3619 - but the 4023 they have is really what I want - but again 3k pin and 21k GVWR - so outside the spec of my Tremor - These big boy trailers are pointing me towards an F-450 - but I love my truck - so going to stay small for now!

Pic after finally pulling into Scottsdale, AZ. Quite the haul from Houston --> Scottsdale.

Guessing the total trailer + contents at around 11-12k lbs. With 9.5 - 10.5mpg avg. I was a little disappointed but I'm sure I could've done better if I kept it closer to 60 - 65 instead of ~70mph. Avg'd about 10.5 - 11mpg on the way home with just the empty 4.5k lb weight of the trailer, but I kept it more in the 75 - 80mph range.

Felt a little squirreliness / trailer sway on occasion when it was loaded down and did not seem to correlate to speed (sometimes it'd happen at 65mph, other times, over 75mph and then it would be fine at those speeds and even 80mph on other occasions), could never completely figure out the issue but I'm sure the tires played a small factor, even after dropping the pressures to ~60psi.

Is your truck wrapped in Xpel Stealth? Looks amazing.
Yes, and thank you!

Magnetic (only a 2020 color) w/ the Xpel Stealth, the wrap turned out better than I could have hoped for. I love it and it gets comments every time I'm out in it.

Here’s my rig on the way to Flaming Gorge, UT. The trailer tongue pole for my equalizer hitch slipped so I had to disconnect it, and as a result my back end sagged a bit. I’d recommend anyone using Equalizer’s tongue trailer crossbar have it welded onto your trailer. I tightened mine with more than 200 ft.

Pounds of torque and it still slipped enough to make the weight distribution bars useless. Even without weight distribution my 6.7 pulled like a champ with no noticeable sway or loss of control from the saggy rear end.

If anyone has the B&W OEM puck system hitch, 20k, I would love a pic of what holes you mounted the risers on for your truck. It would give me a starting place when my truck arrives. Thanks for your consider

Posted in a different forum - B&W Companion on puck system, hitch risers are set to rear/middle height. Have Sumo spring 2 piece in the rear.

Pretty easy load for the 250 but first harvest of ~2 cords of pine done for the upcoming winter season, really digging how this thing tows.
Beautiful truck and scenery!

question.

so my TT weights just over 2k
should i even bother putting it in tow mode?View attachment 58204
Better make sure you have the WDH set up properly or you're going to be nose high! Jk.
I wouldn't even worry about tow mode. You'll be checking the mirrors just to make sure it's still back there. The truck will be asking for more of a challenge.

Nice truck, no just standard drive mode. I pull my light Boston whaler 17 foot boat which probably weights around 4K, trailer and all, in just normal drive mode, and I’ve pulled it through mountains.
