This guy ... Tremor Bashing

He "gets it", but doesn't "get it" ... pointless review in my opinion! This guy needs a F-150 Raptor to be happy, not the Tremor - it's obvious, but he totally bashes the Super Duty Tremor.

Sounds like he is overly concerned that everyone who bought a Tremor is going to show up on his favorite Playground. I don’t off road in the Just for the kill of it sence. However, I use every feature that Tremor provides just getting to and back from my mountain property. Mud and snow feature as well as rock crawl make a lot of sense in the winter and mud season. In my former Ranger off road I often used Trail Management when not on “Trails” but rather on unpaved mountain roads. Towing trailers up steep inclines to 8500 feet will be better performed with the F250 diesel and, yes, I have purchased a Lance truck camper and need the hauling capacity. Tremor to me means a very useful heavy duty truck for people who’s “Trails” are very much every day life.

lol you guys sound offended that someone doesn't like our trucks. :)

He's not wrong on a lot of what he says. The Tremor is a niche package that appeals to a select group that want most of the heavy duty towing/hauling capabilities with a little more offroad capability. It's a pretty narrow performance window that doesn't work for everyone.

I dont understand what's not to get. It's a compromise truck that was very well executed. It's still superduty capable and also off road capable. He has trouble understanding why that appeals to a lot of people? Certainly theres a market for people who want a straight heavy duty truck for towing and hauling. Certainly there's a market for people who want a predominantly off road truck. Has he never heard of a Venn diagram?

His argument that its size doesnt make sense for an offroad truck is really dumb. I knew a lot of people back in ME when i lived there that had big lifted heavy duty trucks for mudding.

This sounds like a guy who thinks his tacoma is the be all end all offroad truck but cant drive it for shit and then needs to call his buddy with a superduty to come pull him out of the mud.

The Tremor is 15" longer than my F150 FX4 but also has much better clearance and the Rock Crawl mode. My F150 has done some semi-gnarly stuff (off-road Grade 3 or 4?) and some very gnarly mud. I fully expect my Tremor to do better despite its added weight. I think I get that it's not a Jeep but I also get that it's gonna tow my 9000 pound trailer like it ain't even back there.

Well put

He's all over the map with his review. He's just not into trucks especially HD trucks and doesn't understand the buyer who buys these trucks.

I never expected my truck to drive like an S Class or expected it to handle like an F150. Its neither of those things. Hook an 18,000lb 5th wheel and tow it 1,200 miles and you'll know why people buy it.

Unlike the current cancel culture I like to read apposing view points so that I make the correct choices. That is why I Listened to his. However, the only point I got out of his post was that he just did not get the combination of tools that the Tremor offers. The fact that he doesn’t get it adds nothing to the conversation except that he holds fast to an option that can not be substantiated.

Offended? No, and I don't think anyone commenting here is offended. Amused? Yes.

Whether he's right or wrong isn't relevant but what is relevant, is the fact the TREMOR package is different things to different people. What this boob didn't do was educate himself about what this means but feels he knows enough to go on a triggered rant and then respond like a snowflake on YouTube when he's called out on it.

No I think that guy would probably be better off reviewing tampons The niche is big already seen about six tremors running around out where I’m at and the dealers know it so they’re marking them up 10 K to 20 K over a regular super duty most of us on here no it’s a capable super duty not a Baja truck hopefully no one listens to that guy when buying a truck

That’s below the belt but maybe that what the guy needs.

I couldn't watch any more than a minute or so. Guy is an idiot that doesn't understand that some people (like me) need BOTH uses. What a dipshit know-it-all.

If he had upgraded to a black Platinum F350 6.7 with fifth wheel and gooseneck prep with sticker 86+ he would feel better about the Tremor. I ordered mine because I like the sexy Tremor sticker on the rear. Hope my truck never is on the 405. Plan to keep it away from the land or "fruits and nuts" (an Archie Bunker quote). Roads out there must be crap. Rides really smooth in Florida.

Think he is the target audience for the TRD Off Road RAV4. He might get that one more, nothing like a uniabody for off-roading :ROFLMAO:.

Tremor is definitely not for everyone and that is OK, but what F250 was he driving that road way way better off road, something with a Carli Pintop?

I don't know... He's got valid points.

I'm not going to discount what he said because I don't like his shirt, or his sunglasses, or his criticisms. I shared several of his concerns when I ordered my Lariat Tremor. In the end despite any misgivings I may have had, any concern over the impracticality of the vehicle given the various use cases I could envision; there was only one consideration that really mattered.

I wanted one.

Sorry to cut across the grain here, but for several years now I've been told the content of my speech is invalid, lesser, even offensive because my degrees are not en vogue or that the sourcing for my awareness is not approved by a partisan orthodoxy. That my 'toxic' [read bald head, fifty two inch chest, beard] appearance means I'm not to be taken seriously in our new, sensitive world - despite my formal education, my post-graduate work, or the character of my career experience. I find that despite it all, I have been effectively presorted and relegated to irrelevance whenever I engage in a conversation with someone whose opinions and 'knowledge' are exclusively informed by broadcast, new, and social media information sources - which has become the clear majority of those in the United States.

So in the end, I'm simply transposing my own frustrations over the state of interpersonal discourse onto an enthusiast forum's reaction to some nobody youtuber. On the whole, this forum is a great resource because it's membership is active and informed about the topics they discuss. I'm glad you guys are around.

Dude! Love me some Cancel Culture discourse! As you said, it can cut both ways but on the whole this is the most inclusive forum I've seen.

Of course, a lot of people love to argue just for the exercise. I did not watch the vid pertinent to this thread cause those rants are usually just geared towards 'likes' and 'hits' in order to try and get on the YouTube gravy wagon. I say - GET A REAL JOB!
BITD we just joined the Debate Team.

Damn, I have to go back and watch the video just to remember what the hell this whole thing was about....
