The Tremor Crusade begins!

Finally the Mod gets a Tremor. Later to the party, but still own an amazing truck. I'm sure you can't slap the smile off your face when driving the thing! Congratulations! I had a feeling you'd get a metallic gray or silver.

The smile is still from ear to ear! Now it's time for the mods to begin! Build thread coming next...

Man what would you guys have thought if this ended up being a super duty raptor? I'm surprised how many people don't like the idea of a ranger tremor. Personally, with my son turning 16 in a couple years I might look into getting him a ranger tremor so we can match.
i honestly don't care about the name they chose for the package...I'll probably peel all the tremor stickers off anyway....but they should come up with a new name if they put a special off road package on the ranger IMO. "Tremor" is a good name for such a beast of a truck like an off road oriented super duty....It sounds silly on a Ranger. I don't think "raptor" was a great choice for the F150, but at least neither of the Ford names are as lame as "power wagon" lol.

There was a 2014 F150 Tremor .... which was more of a F150 Lighting

Based on the sporty mid-level F-150 FX2 (rear-wheel drive) or F-150 FX4 (four-wheel drive) trim level, the Tremor is the only way you can get Ford's lauded EcoBoost 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 in the traditional sport truck configuration of a regular cab/short bed.

Not all Tremors are made the Same .... but i understand what your saying but .... if the Ranger Tremor is more capable like the SD Tremor thats good.... better then this

Difference is that died...if there's success with the SuperDuty line and that name Ford will likely attempt to capitalize on it. Time will tell...

I agree it is dead but also that was only a few years ago ... It not like the bronco that been died for 20 years

Coincidentally I saw an F150 Tremor today coming out of McDonald's drive through! Haha...I can't remember the last time I saw one.

Congrats! ?(y) Now we definitely need an Austin-area meet up!

Yeah, we need to start planning something like that. Maybe in October once things cool down a bit.

Gotta say I hate going to Austin...traffic blows and so many people packed into one tiny space...I haven't been back or even through there in years.

Nice write up! Congrats! I'm in Helotes, TX with a 7.3L Tremor. I would make the drive to Austin for a Tremor meet up. Sounds like there's several of us around central and south TX. Let's make it happen! Have a few mods on mine to share.

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here! After owning my RAM Diesel for nearly 7 years, it's been replaced by a 2020 Magnetic F250 Diesel Tremor. As some of you know, I've been excited about the Tremor ever since it was first announced last year. The idea of having an off-road capable factory truck that could still tow and haul was a dream! I'm also a huge Ford fan. I had a Ford F150 Ecoboost that was a half ton tow monster, a fun daily driver Focus ST, and still have my Ford Raptor (which will probably be on the chopping block soon). Honestly, one of the hardest decisions purchasing the new truck was selecting the color and motor. I went back and forth for months. I was excited to try out the new 7.3l motor and exit the diesel world for a while. The grunt that the 7.3l has is amazing and that's probably all the power I actually need. However, I couldn't get the idea of having over 1050 lb-ft of torque out of my head. I also liked the idea of having a little more range in the fuel tank while traveling, so eventually decided I would give the Powerstroke a shot.

Super impressed with the new Iconic Silver Ford introduced this year I thought that would be the color choice for sure. I've always been a fan of the Magnetic color so that was my second choice. Now it just boiled down to the deal. I tried to work with a few local dealers, but both here in Austin considered the Tremor such a limited truck that no discounts were available except for the $500 cash rebate. Searching a little farther out, I found a dealer that had awesome up front pricing and a great selection of Tremors on the lot (5 yesterday!) I called about a month ago on a Magnetic Lariat Sport that had just finished production and was scheduled to ship first part of August. I owe a big thanks to @plethoragreen for helping me lock in a POC last month.

The truck arrived at the dealership this week. I made the 200 mile drive to check it out and see if it's something I wanted to do. The plan was just to go up drive it and then think about it for a few days to make sure that was the one. The test drive went well. Gary, my salesman at the dealership, gave me the keys and let me take it out by my self. I now know what you guys are talking about with the tires making the truck feel a little loose and not planted on the road. I also felt a small vibration at 70mph and thought maybe the tires were just out of balance. Well, turns out Gary was a Tremor owner as well and invited me to check out his truck. He had a white XLT tremor with some mods and the 7.3l. He mentioned noticing similar issues with the tires until they had some miles on them. . Something we've all talked about on here for a few months. These guys were able to give me a really fair price on my trade in and I decided to pull the trigger.

I got in last night around midnight. I had a blast driving it home 200 miles with the stereo cranking all while playing a game of dodge-a-deer. I took it easy on the drive back averaging between 55-75mph. The end result was 21.4MPG! This new 10 speed tranny paired with the diesel is incredible. I'll have a follow up post with my thoughts once I have some more time behind the wheel.

I really want to thank Gary @ Jim Bass Ford in San Angelo. I can't tell you how nice it was dealing with a fellow Tremor owner and enthusiast! Be sure to check out their Tremor inventory and reach out to Gary (3259494621 ext. 397) if you have any interest or questions. He's the man! - https://www.jimbassford.com/
About time! Kidding! She’s a beauty! Love the magnetic. Sport sets it off. Was a close second for me.

Congrats!!! Can’t wait til mine gets here in September! Gotta ask, what’s the deal with folks not liking chrome?? Is it a millennial thing?

I've never liked chrome much...Especially when it's plastic painted chrome. I'm 36, tip of the spear for millennials, so maybe it is...maybe it isn't.

It's not that I don't like chrome. In fact, I think it makes the truck look more like a big rig.

I think the black accents just gives it a modern sleek look. Something new.

Looks CHEAP!!

Im currently driving a 2019 F-150 Lariat with the chrome package. I bought it because everyone has a Sport package, but I regret it. Glad my Tremor Is going to be Sport.

If you put any Tremor Sport side by side with a Tremor non sport. The Sport looks like a more expensive truck every time in every colour.

Enjoy baddest truck every made! WE LOVE LOVE LOVE OURS!!! It just does everything so so well!!!!

thanks, so far I’m extremely happy about the purchase. Can’t wait to take it on a road trip!

The black grill used to identify a lower packaged truck . Ford XL vs XLT or Lariat and not sure on the other "work " trucks . It should be aa cheaper alternative than chrome IMO.

glad you finally joined the club in a formal way. enjoy.
