Sync4 Text Messages - Multiple and OLD displayed

Android phone, connected by BT, or via the USB connection.

When I get a single text message I get notification on screen of always no less than three new messages. In rapid succession, Usually only one of the messages shows a name - but sometimes that name/text is months to years old. IE it will tell me I have three messages, including one from XYZ (which in sorting turns out to be often years old).

Any idea?

Also, sometimes when I get a phone call it will ring and not stop ringing for minutes. Loud. Even after I answer the call - but with the ringing it will not actually let me take the call. Is there a way to in the moment fully turn off the Sync4, restart it?

Mine does that too. It's annoying af. I have a new phone coming this week and figured I'd deal w it all then.

This is the official Ford Sync 4 reset instruction - We're obviously the first option (With Power Button). Try that before doing a master reset.
