Star white or Oxford white (w blackout) ? And why.

For what it is worth, star white is really nice looking in person. It has a very nice metallic shine to it in the sun, and contrasts very nice with the black. Even if Oxford was available with blackout, I am glad I got star white.

Star white... It is not a pure white and has the slightest tint to it depending on the lighting. When the sun hits it it shimmers and looks fabulous in my opinion.

I’d get a Cadillac if I wanted a pearly white car.

Insert "Lincoln" for "Cadillac" in my case but I take your point... For me if I wanted more luxury I would have gone Limited Super Duty, Star White Lariat was my middle ground.

Jus traded in my f150, Oxford white and took delivery of my 22 star white with blackout pkg. There is definitely a difference in the white between the two and I would agree that the OW is more of a fleet color, flat white while the star white is deep and has a glimmer to it. Beautiful IMO!!

I ordered star white 250 in September, how long did you wait? I only have a conformation at level 10.

Metallic White is my favorite color no matter who the manufacturer is from BMW to Ford.

New guy here to both Ford and the Powerstroke. Received the truck early November and absolutely love it. I went with star white and think it was worth the extra $500 as someone mentioned before it does have a nice shimmer and it's more of an off white and not so bright as with oxford. Happy I found this forum of owners and to be apart of the Ford family!

Had this same debate when building mine. Ended up with oxford white with sport package + Quad Beams. I plan on blacking out some of the grill and also badges. Reason I went this route is if you buy anything that needs to color match or replace it just cost more in the star. plus at the time I had heard there was some paint shortage for specialty colors. I love both Star White and Oxford with the black acescent really cant go wrong with either.

Just confirmed it only comes in Star. Did not even get that far to check, easy decision tomorrow… Star it is

As others have said u cant get oxford with black out package. But also, oxford trucks are most XL work /utility municipal city trucks that you see, plain white. Star white is mettalic, with a bit of a warmer tint. My fav color for years, so i too ultimately went for SW.

I have a 2020 Star White with the chrome package (instead of blackout). Correct about the metallic reflection. It is a great combination.

Ordering tomorrow, accelerated from Wednesday. I am set on white now with blackout (Lariat) and leaning towards Star. If you have white which way did you go and why? If you did not get white, your opinion.

I had Star White on a 2020 F150 Limited and loved it, when it was clean at least, and sunny. That's what I ordered for my Tremor also. It has a light golden metallic in the paint that looks great in the sun, which in Alaska I won't have so much of for 7 months of the year... Oxford, if it's the same as it is in my 1996 F250 XLT, is a solid white with no metallic in it. I assume that's the case now too.

I just changed my order from Carbon Gray to Star White, it changed my priority code, but after 5 months IDGF anymore, and want what I want and will have to wait for it, lol…. I’ll have a shop locally black out the grill etc since I have a Plati. After seeing a billion carbons everywhere, decided the Star White looked better blacked out.

Yep, they are going to see if the regional manager will bump me back to pri 2. I’ve been a 2 since Nov, and still nothing, so I don’t expect anything from Ford anymore honestly, it’s sad…. I gave up caring when the truck will arrive at this point. We already bought another truck (GMC AT4, called a local dealer, truck arrived 2 weeks later), so when it gets here doesn’t matter anymore, just so disappointed with big Ford. That said, the AT4 is pretty bad ass. For a 3500, it’s the best riding truck I’ve been in.

Honestly thought about changing my carbonized too but imo not much to choose from I can’t go white no offense to anybody but all the hundreds of fleet vehicles at work are white, had tons of red trucks, black is a nightmare and I considered atlas blue but idk seemed like to much blue so guess I’m stuck with boring ass gray lol

I was 02 at Chapman, dropped the tonneau cover and 5th wheel prep, added rapid cab heater while at it. Dropped to priority 10 as a result. That was late November way before they started telling people to drop these items in mid jan. So at 10 i was scheduled on Jan 13. My point being, no need to put much emphasis at 02, I honestly think Ford first and foremost looks at the order date and then priorities , commodities and everything else. Good luck to you! That gmc 3500 looks sweet. I saw it in person a week ago and thought that if i didnt have ford on order, that would be my second choice over .

I love the anti-matter blue. I’m not the biggest fan of the fleet white,

Thanks, I talked with the dealer today, they all sound defeated, lol... Hard not to laugh, but it's gotten ridiculous. We fulltime travel with our 5th wheel, and it's bright white and black, so the Star White will look perfect with it. There are more Carbon/Metallic grey trucks here in SoCal than white fleet trucks at this point. Once the Star white is blacked out, they look good!

The AT4's pretty awesome. Rides like a caddy. Turning radius is impressive. Payload is 1k more than the Tremor (crazy). Sunroof and tires are garbage, but it feels like a SUV vs a HD truck. The AT4 will become the wife's truck. I never thought we would own a GMC, and it might not be our last. $68 out the door, fully loaded.
