I recently had a business in Ingram, Texas who has developed a kit to prevent easy break ins and theft on Ford Trucks. They remove the key tumbler from the driver's door and then put a plastic insert where the vacant hole is, and another where the tumbler was in the door..then they remove the connecting rod from inside the door to prevent a slim Jim from being used...for those who are wondering how you would get in your truck in the event of a dead battery(s), they run a wire from the positive battery post to a stud in the r/f wheel well. Then you run a jumper from another vehicle or power source to the frame and the stud. That provides enough power that your key fob will now work to unlock the truck. Those with 2 batteries probably never need it.
