‘24 F350 with 31k on the clock. Noticed residual fluid at the bottom of my rear diff the other day. Followed it up to where the driveshaft meets the diff housing. There is fluid blowback all the way from aft of the u-joint down the diff housing. Service tech says it sounds like pinion seal has gone bad. No adverse clunks or sounds 🤷🏼‍♂️. Truck goes into the dealer tomorrow.

Edit- did you ghost edit your post? I swear you had carrier bearing typed in there.
Looks like pinion bearing and not carrier bearing. The carrier bearings are in the pumpkin adjacent to the ring gear carrier.
Might just be lucky and have a weeping pinion seal. Hopefully the oil level is still high enough that the bearings remained wet.

I made a a typo. Must’ve fixed it right before you posted 😆

Looks like a pinion seal, if you caught it early no problem but if the fluid got low you might have an issue with the pinion bearing, axle bearings or the carrier bearings. Do you hear any noise from it driving? Assume that they will look for shiny stuff in the oil when they drain it.
