Love the BMW’s. In my past life I owned a 1974 2002tii a 1976 2002 and in 2017 my son and I both bought M2’s manuals. I sold mine and bought another S2000 and he bought a 2021 F250 6.7 and he got very lucky and bought a M2 CS, fantastic car.

Oh, and when I was four or five I somehow got our Studebaker out of gear and managed to roll it backwards down our steep ass driveway, across the street, and onto the neighbor's lawn without dinging it!
Yeah, I'm a regular Evel Knievel. At least I was licensed when I did the Rambler.

It must be the age. We used to live at the top of a long straight street on a hill and had a sloped driveway that aimed down it. When my oldest son was about that age, I was in our garage and I heard the unmistakable sound of a emergency brake being released, looked out and saw my son sitting in our Scout smiling rolling backwards down the driveway. I took off running and just caught it at full stride. The door was locked. While running I unlocked it, opened the door, grabbed the windshield frame and roll bar, swung my body into the Scout and stomped on the brake bringing it to to a stop. The move was right out of some action adventure film.

My son just looked at me with a big smile and said, "I can drive the Scout Dad!"

I never got mad at him. I just wanted to kill him.

I asked him what he did. He said, 'I just did what you do". He showed me how he got in, locked the door, put his seatbelt on, popped it into neutral, and pulled the brake release. Thank God it had a heavy key tumbler as he could not turn it over and that the top was off so I was able to unlock the door.

We both got in trouble with the wife.

Good times.

NICE!! I've got a '51 3100. '52 216 w/a '70s saginaw 4OTF on the original torque tube and 4.10 rear in it now, but I'm building a '56 261 to go w/a T5 and 3.73 10 bolt posi.
