New Jersey to Key West in 26 hours.

I towed a friends boat from Point Pleasant NJ to Stock Island marina outside Key West in 26 hours. Trailer was about 45’ long and 10’ wide. 36’ Contender with twin 350 Mercs. Total trailer weight is about 12,000 pounds. Averaged 8.5mpg. Towed at 65-75mph. Absolutely perfect run. Totally impressed by the truck. I have the WeighSafe hitch showing 1,200 pounds of tongue weight and the S&B 60 gallon tank which made a huge difference on picking truck stops.

On marathon keys fisheries is great. Go upstairs to the tiki bar for the good deals on stone crab.

Is your Tremor a 250 or 350? Nice looking rig. Did you have to get a wide load permit, if so how much was it since you traversed several states.

Thx its an F250, Should have gotten permits. After getting the runaround from a permitting company we went commando to beat some weather. Left at 9:30pm and got lucky.
