Monday’s full eclipse through Texas

Absolutely socked in with clouds up here….

Clouds broke in time out here…

Clarification: not my photos. These were courtesy ofJohn from Houston TX, a gentleman we met there.

The clouds cleared just in time for a an awesome view. I couldn't believe how dark it got, wasn't expecting that.

Also had the drone in the air for a quick time-lapse.

We were at 99% but it got significantly darker and colder right around the peak. Amazing how light it stays with just a sliver of the sun! You get to a certain point and it's like someone flipped the switch...

I will try to take a photo - but I also want to live in the moment. I can't imagine what our ancestors thought of this kind of thing! :)
They thought that they needed to burn witches to save the harvest... or something like that...🤷

I captured a fun little time-lapse with the Tremor. I need to find a way to upload it - or I’ll just post it on my IG. It was super cool! Had 100% for a few seconds. I choose to head up to my parents camp right on the edge of total. They drove more into the center - but I have zero regrets as I saw 100% and beat the traffic. Lol

Jealous. Wish I could have been there. Only had 36% in California. It was clear and nice weather, just no totality. :cautious:
