Some of us non-Texans will be making the trek to Texas this weekend for the eclipse happening Monday. As we’re trying to avoid gridlock traffic, my group is sort of shooting for the Killeen area. The general forecast originally started out clear, but has recently progressed to partially cloudy with a chance of rain in the later afternoon. Anybody there got a better feel for the weather patterns along that central line of full eclipse from the border through Dallas, or Killeen specifically? What I’m after is what local forecasters are saying, or if anyone generally local to that area has any insight on any area that might have less cloud cover than any other. Probably wishing on the moon, but thought it was worth a try.
