IRONMANS BUILD THREAD

The parts manager tried to give me a 2018 TPS trailer camera with someone else’s vin. He kept saying it was mine and if I don’t take it I’m out the 750$ I paid for it.
I was lied to over it by 3 people. I was ready to break his face. But my cooler head prevailed and my guardian Angel got me to walk away.
I also had a very bad allocation problem getting mine built. I waited 4 1/2 months from order to ownership. I had other dealers tell me they’d get mine built ASAP.
Never again would I go there.
Im Don in West Islip. Glad another brother from LI NY with a Tremor. 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Hello Iron Man Tremor Brother! Don this is Larry We have a lot in common . Yes times have changed , we are softer spoken and think twice before someone gets hurt . I don't know if this is a good thing . More people take advantage of our kindness and use it as our weakness. I do construction mostly residential and when I gave a price on something that was my price . I never made excuses or was dishonest with my bill . My price was my price If you were not happy with the price please find someone else. No hard feelings . This bait and switch stuff only comes from the lowest type of people. I am a family man and I believe you are also . My Tremor Is a four door for great reasons . Lets use our tremors to create wonderful times with our loved ones and be grateful of the times we make .
HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU !

Iron Man, I really like your build. I've just recieved my truck and the factory reverse lighting is sub par to say the least. I also have a bumper step which complicates reverse lighting mounting. What Rigid lights did you mount under the bumper? Would you happen to have any pictures showing how the installer mounted them?

Thank you

There’s a bolt under my bumper that it easily mounted to. The lights are mounted upside down though. I will get a pic of the mounting in the morning brother. I got the lights on Amazon from a link COCOCOUNTY sentt to me from his build. I will post that as well in the morning.

Here’s pics of how it was mounted. The dealers mechanic installed them before I picked up my truck. It’s hooked up to switch #4.
There’s 2 bolts on both sides of the rear bumper underneath the bumper. He said it was easy and I love the location. The lights are mounted upside down.

Thank you very much, those pictures are really helpful! I love the location also. I could have seriously used those hunting last week.

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy and I have been helping my friend build me a sick shed. My wife was able to put on Tuff Skins Super Duty stickers on my hood deflector.
They are OUTSTANDING. I went with Silver letters to go with my paint. It looks killer. It has an illuminated look with the sunshine hitting it.
She also put the PLATINUM letters on my tailgate. I got them from TVD Vinyl Decals . Com
Sadly the Super Duty that goes on the tailgate is missing the U so I contacted them and need to wait till I get the U to complete the tailgate. But the Platinum looks so drastically better.
She also put on the letters gor the glove box.
I got my Carli Pintop suspension in but I’m waiting for the Radius arms to come in so I can get everything installed. I want to get my shit together so I can go back down to Florida to help my mom with getting her house to sell.

Are the Tufskinz letters you put on the bug deflector the same size as if I would order the hood letters? Thanks!

Gotta Ask: Are you the same Iron Man that use to run the Ford Raptor Runs with GLRE?

Do you have a photo of the quick battery connect for "Jumping" that would come out the front of the truck?

Yes. I got them in Silver. Worked great.

You wanted the best, You got the best, The greatest Band in the land KISS ( OR IRONMANS BEAST )
Danna, Danna, Danna, Danna, Danna, Then Detriot Rock City would be played at most KISS shows back in the day and a perfect song for this. LOL

Well after 6 weeks My Beast was finally finished, Well Not Quite.

It seems my Carli Pin Top 2.5 needs a lot of tweaking. There was 75 lbs of air was placed in all 4 tires. All caster shims were installed but then taken out for some reason. Steve felt it didn't need them.
My truck was bouncing and shaking all over the road. My truck pulled to the left and felt funny steering right and left. CJC told Steve to lower the nitrogen in the shocks from 250lbs to 175lbs. Lower the tire pressure to 45 in the front and 40 in the rear. To re torque the front end and to look at the steering stabilzers as they may be fighting each other.
My Rek Gen Off Road Mud Flaps were installed before the replacement Fuel +1 offset wheels came in and they do not stick out far enough. Plus the fronts were trimmed because they sat too far in and rubbed on the tires. They are a bit crooked.
He had mounted my Method MR 315s in GOLD with 37" Ridge Grapplers but I didn't think the GOLD Rims looked right on my Silver Platinum F350 Diesel. So I ordered Fuel Assaults with a +1 offset. 3 of them came in damaged from shipping and it took 3 weeks to get them replaced. They are finally on my Beast but as I said before they installed the mud flaps first and they are not right. I LOVE MY FUEL ASSAULTS ON MY SILVER SEY BEAST.
Steve from Auto Kicks failed misserably on those issues and I will bring it back on Monday. I'm very disappointed but I love all the other stuff he did. He will buy another set of Mud Flaps for the front and set them all up correctly.
Now for everything else he did. I think he hit it out of the park with the rest.
My rear LED light bar for under the tailgate needed to be run electricley directly to the truck. I bought a plug and play harness for behind the bumper, but it gave trailer code errors when hooked up. It looks freakin DOPE. It has sequential turning lights with one side staying red. Brake lights and turns white for reverse With red if you are hitting the brake.
ARB on board air system with a 1 gallon tank and it still has the manifold with 2 connections left so I want an airhorn. It is on my #6 up fitter switch that is hooked up so I can turn it on without the truck running and I believe without the key. Not Possitive on that though with No key. He mounted it under my Retractable Bed Cover box and he built a cage to protect it. I asked for the cage to come around the side which is not protected. He said whenI bring it back he will do it free of charge.
It has 2 lines going to 2 sepperate air connections. 1 below the rear bumper and 1 by the tailgate inside the bed. It is also hooked up to my Firestone Air bags.
My Firestone Ride Rite 2600 with 5,000 lbs air bags (which CJC recommends ) are also installed. There is a gap between the bag and the bottom cradle which looks a bit weird but once you put a lot more than the 5lbs of air that I keep in them, it fills the gap. My ECU which is the brains for the remote control for the air ride system sits under the bed. I LOVE MY WHOLE SET UP.
My 40" Rigid Curved light bar was able to be installed by cutting my Platinum bottom straight piece of my grill. Then drilled through the plastic bumper and drilled through the metal bumper. It was bolted to the metal bumper and then that was shimmed to meet the plastic bumper. It looks so good that you can not tell that the grill was cut. Super bright Light Bar. 17,000 Lumens or more. Super DOPE.
My pocket lights that sit under my LED fog lights that I left, are wired directly to my truck when I turn the key. It has an orange amber glow all the time unless they are turned on. Then they are super bright. It is hooked up to my Rigid 40" Curved LED light bar on my #3 switch.
I had a 3000 watt inverter installed in back of my rear seat. I wanted to have electric for the bed and the cab. He ran a huge 4 gauge cable to my battery and had to have a 100Watt breaker on the battery. Also had to have the inverter grounded to the chassy and had to make a block for it. It runs off my #6 switch which also ran so I don't need the truck running.
I have 3 outlets go to the bed. 1 on each side of the tail gate and 1 in the rear of the bed. Then 1 was in stalled inside the rear of the cab. He left both factory outlets a lone. I FREAKIN LOVE IT. IT IS SUPER DOPE!!!!!
Steve installed my Banks Pedal Monster with the upgraded gauge that hooks up to the windshield. Nick from Apollo Optics hooked me up with many of my mods. He said Banks is going to have a chip or some upgrade to tweak out 6.7L trucks computer some day and the gauge will work with it. LOVE THIS SET UP. I just hit the pedal a pinch and she just diesel rockets down the road. Super sick.
Steve placed a 2 bank battery tender and hooked it up to both batteries. It then has a 110 cord hooked up to the extension cord hook up on my front bumper to be plugged in at any time if need be. It just rests in my engine bay and is zip tied to something. I also have that nifty extension plug with a cover for the bumper for the engine heater.
Steve hooked up a winch harness to my battery and is tucked under my front bumper. It has a cap on it to protect it. Then there is a second harness that gets plugged into it for a battery. I will just use both ends and hook it up to my jumper box alligator clips. LOVE HIS IDEA. SUPER DOPE.
Steve hooked up my override mirror spot lights with strobe feature. My mirror spots won't shut off after 5 mph and he installed a sepperate switch for me to turn on the strobes. Its wired directly to the battery so I can turn it on without having a key. Looks pretty cool.
Steve installed my High Idle Switch which really is a plug and Play and drilled the adjustment nob low on my dash. He did not like the sticky tape for it. Your parking break needs to be on to engage on this feature. I LOVE THIS MOD SO MUCH. SUPER DOPE.
Lastly he installed my built right phone charger tray on top of the dash and installed a USB port to my fuse box. Bill had this done. I LOVE THIS MOD.
I still have a few more mods I would like to have................
Air Horn
Protective wrap on certain areas of the truck and Ceramic coating on my Beast.
K40 hidden Radar Detecter and Laser Defuser. (3K$) installed.
Linkswell IV 12" tablet navagation/stereo upgrade
Tinted windows
Some kind of security feature. Kill switch and maybe a GPS locator device (Low Jack or something newer). IDK

You wanted the best Well you got the best. LOL. I got most of these ideas from so many people sharing what they in stalled in their Rigs. I was fortunate enough to have Steve be a master at some of these mods but he still needs to up his game with suspensions. But He Will Get This Right. He does have so many lifted Jeeps and a few trucks in his collection of 27 years owning his shop. I spent a small fortune but I am very pleased MOSTLY.

Nice build! Did you go with 11” wide flaps? Or 12? I installed the 12” ones on the front today and they definitely rub with 37s and -12 wheel offset. Wondering if I should exchange for 11” or just trim mine down like yours.

I went with 12” Rek Gens.
You need to stick them out wider. Steve who worked on my truck set them in way too much and chopped up my front ones. I told him it wax totally wrong. He paid for a new front set and placed them further out. I only felt it rub briefly as I was turning really hard and hit a bump going fast.

Mine are placed pretty similar to yours. It rubs a lot when pulling into the driveway, and hard turns. I imagine your wheels/tires are similar? 37x12.5r18, 18x9 -12 offset.

At this point I don’t think the 11” wide ones would help much, I’d still have to trim that too. I might just take a miter saw to them this weekend, cut a couple inches off the end of the inner flap.

I have a +1 offset. There’s the difference.

I stopped by the shop that is working on my Beast and dropped off a few things that were really delayed from ordering on line.
So Steve ordered a Samlex SAM - 3000 - 12. Its a 3000w inverter that would fit nicely behind rear passenger seat. Its 8'W - 16.5"L - 3.3"H. He removed the jack and cut a bit of insulation away. He is building a bracket to mount it to bolts that are there. He is running it directly to the battery with a heavy thick cable. 4 gauge I Think. It has a remote the gets plugged into it. This unit is made for RVs and boats. He will wire my 6th up fitter switch to the remote.
It has 3 outlets, 1 will be wired to my front outlet that is there on the dash. The other 2 will sit on each side of the front of the bed by the tailgate. Outside RV type of plug with a flip cover. I didn't see them as they were coming in today.

I wanted to be able to jump start my Truck even if the battery was dead and I couldn't get into the cab to pop the hood. So he is hooking up a winch wire harness to one of my batteries. It has a snap clip with a cap on it. Then I would clip on the other half of it and it has 2 wires to hook up to a battery, but I will just use a jump box and hook up alligator clips to it. I love this Idea. The harness will be inside my grill area, above my bumper.

Since I am running the inverter He hooked up my High Idle throttle control which should help if I need to keep the truck running at an idle for long period of inverter action. But the inverter is hooked up to my 6th switch so the engine doesn't need to be running. But i wanted to have piece of mind and he is installing a 2 bank battery tender to both batteries with that nifty front bumper extension cord with the cover. I also have 1 for the engine block heater. I just hope it doesn't interfere with the censor for adaptive cruise control.

My replacement Fuel Assault Rims that were damaged finally arrived today and will be mounted today. The second pair of Rek Gen mud flaps came in today also.
My on board ARB air compressor, 1 gallon tank and manifold, and an ECU for my remote controll for the air ride syatem, was installed under the box that holds the retractable bed cover. It is tucked away quite nicely.
He is going to fabricate something to keep it protected. I love how that turned out. He is mounting an air valve connection through my rear bumper next to my back license plate and another one in the front of the bed next to the tailgate.

View attachment 33290View attachment 33291

The pocket lights were also installed. They will glow orange amber all the time, with the Raptor Grill lights, and the LP6 glow mode. But when i turn on my 3rd switch my light bar will come on with these very bright pocket lights. I still can use my LED fog lights for a less bright option. IMHO you can't have enough lights as my friend Wolfser says. I was told by someone who has my Rigid LED light bar that it makes a pitch black trail light up like daylight, and now with the powerful pocket lights the side trail banks will be lit up even better.

I want to sell my 18x9 Gold Method MR315s Wheels with a brand new lug nuts for 1,200$. They are 356$ each plus tax with out lug nuts. So if anyone in the LI NY area is interested hit me up. I don't want to ship them and I would want cash.
I want to sell all 4 of my Tremor wheels with TPS with 4,500 miles on them for 1,700$.
I want to sell my Tremor suspension with the F350 Leafs for 1,000$.
I want to sell the Firestone Ride Rite Red Label Extreme 7,500lbs air bags FOR A DUALLY for 400$. I bought the wrong one and he tried to mount them. So I can't return them since the mounts look like they were mounted. Brand new though with out air going through them. I bought them for 595$ plus tax.

The upgrade for the Pedal monster which is a gauge set up with a suction cup with the controls on it came in. Sadly I never hooked it up and I am paying to have it done. Todd would be very dissappointed in me. He was wanting a real review and told me it was a piece of cake to install. Oh well it was at the shop and I just gave all the mods I had gotten and said please do it up like it was your sons truck. Make my ride Magazine worthy. LOL.
He also changed my oil and both fuel filters and added Arch oil AR9100 additive which is a friction modifier
After I get it back I want to get the last Mods
- Tinted windows
- ceramic coated
- K40 hidden radar detector and laser defuser
- upgrade stereo system Maybe the Linkswell 12" Tablet. I am worried that it is outdated with 3G. Oh well I will figure it all out.
Thanks for following my sick ass build. 👊 👊 👊 🙏🙏🙏✌️
Donny Details ;)
Awesome build! What all can you run with the 3k inverter? For the winch harness is that soley for being able to jump your truck or is it also a power cut off for the winch? Lastly are those tough skinz letters over the raised platinum letters on the tailgate?
