I Paid That!

Well the climate here certainly sucks this time of year ( SE WI.)
33 and rain next ten days. I would not mind the fuel bill and to see some palm trees and the blue sky and the yellow thing ( what's that called).
Hang in there Brother your 3 weeks of summer will be here soon! 🤣🍻 Just kidding Brother. There is always South Carolina! 👍🏻👍🏻

We’ve all seen these stickers around and they usually give me a chuckle and nothing more, but $171.11 to fill up is no laughing matter. This was the second run of the card after it clicked off at $100.00 the first time. So a tank of gas for the Tremor is over $50.00 more than it was a year ago.

MY LAST FILL COST ME $227 CAD

From my various research and details on the subject, Cali seems to be the state which tries to be the most progressive. Using that term very loosely, and staying away from politics the best I can. Vermont in many ways wants to be a little Cali at times...it's pretty dissapointing.

I know so many people who have left Cali and are very vocal about it (many to FL it seems). At some point there will be an awareness around the cost of living and the tax base shrinking even more. The push on green is a bit absurd when the infrastructure does not exist, and trying to hold the country to those standards is really aggravating right now.

Freedom is disappearing, but not in the ways where you can really put a finger on it unless you dig into it.

Fuel for my truck is currently at $4.99 to $5.29/gallon and that includes the state taxes. If you want to be a nerd I will post a link... https://tax.vermont.gov/business/industry/fuel

I know many "good ol' boys" running off-road in their trucks right now. I have seen more slip tanks than ever before in rigs. DOT will never be able to keep up with that - but you won't find me doing it. It's simply not worth it, but the increase in pricing will cause more people to curb their lifestyles in other ways. We have just stayed home for the past ~2 years and here's another reason not to travel. Just wait until this nails us at the grocery store, supply store, etc...

I will say, and DM me if you want to talk about this more because I want to be true to forum rules and regulations, our country has been focused on the most ridiculous things for the past ~10 years, almost like when you were a bored kid at home and came up with some really stupid ideas because you had nothing to do. This world is poking us in the eye right now reminding us what the USA should stand for and needs to stand-up for.

Buckle-up, Patriots. It's a powder keg.
Well said…I agree 💯 🍻

My last fill was $335 - when I put in that 60 gallon S&B tank it was great - but you run it down low, it is painful to fill.

I don't even bother to run two cards twice anymore - i just go inside and have them run $300 +/- and fill her up!

I'm moving to Ukraine. Very liberal open carry environment.
Ha! People often romanticize where their family came from. A few weeks ago I was watching the news and my kid comes in and asked for help with a family history project for school. We cover So Cal and then get into the history before that and I tell him about the Transcaucasus, the Milky Waters region, and some others using the old names.

He goes, where's that? I look up at and the TV, point, and say there. I told him that is why we thank God every day we live in America.

Yep, CA business owner here...I can't just pick up and move it only to start all over again. Same with the wife, she as a real estate agent. Once we retire, we plan on keeping our condo in Tahoe and more than likely split time in AZ as well. But who knows what will happen to AZ in the next 8 years, so that plan may change.

I am not a fan of the Bronco stying, but gosh I like that green! I think that would be a solid Tremor color.

Your alloy (Bikini?) Patriot cover accents perfectly as well.
Agreed, Thanks!

When did you get your Bronco?

How do you not like the Bronco stying? It’s awesome such as the originals were!
Got in line the first week available, 2020. knowing it wouldn’t show anytime soon. My 22 showed up end of this January. Very cool and fun. The wife even likes it, which is a big reason it may stay around for a while. Oh, 37s getting installed Monday.

That's a ToTM pic.

In tennessee, where we have been called barefoot morons by most in cali for the past 40 years, i am amazed a the number of Californians moving to our great state on a daily basis. Just sad to watch them preach to us in our own lawns how wrong our politics are and proceed to change the place they just arrived into another version of the place they fled. Sort of the definition of biblical pestilence aint it?

I think Texans and many others have your same sentiments….

its all relative. You get squeezed for everything that you buy in Cali. So the extra income you think you are making just goes away.
Not so much in my case. I've worked out of state, worked with others out of state doing what I do. I live in a lower cost of living area compared to the rest of California. I live far north, Oregon and Nevada are short drives.
Most out of state jobs in my field pay way lower with not much OT. My base pay is high and I get almost unlimited overtime if I want.

Doesn't mean I won't leave one day, just not now. It just doesn't make financial sense to me to leave. Now when the people that pay me realize they can pay someone much less to do the same job, then I'll be out for sure.
Until then I'll have to enjoy my out of state vacations, trips, all while drooling over the homes and property I should be buying.

Yup! They’re actively ruining Nevada as we speak too. A good friend of mine said she had to get the CA plates off her car immediately because of the road rage and hate levied against her. I was like “what did you expect a warm welcome?”

Fun story, I was in Idaho visiting some friends a few years ago. Rented a car in Spokane and drove up to Sand Point. As soon as our friends saw that our rental had CA plates he immediately taped this sign on the back. He said without a doubt it would get keyed at a minimum, tires slashed and windows broken was not out of the realm of possibilities.

Terrible yet funny. I wouldn't want anyone to get their property damaged due to whatever political beliefs they have, states/country they come from, religious beliefs, skin color, and so on and so forth. But I absolutely don't blame them for being cautious. But you'd be surprised how many of us LOVE America and what it means to be American.... we're just largely outnumbered.

On another but similar note, I sure do miss the times when we could all be friends. Some of my closest and most loved friends/family hold total opposite beliefs to what I have.

Yeah man, two of my friends just moved down there. Sadly your taxes are worse than ours. I can't afford a house down there unless I am a full time resident. Triple prop taxes for non residential owners. WTF??????

Summer was great last year,,,,, remember it well .... it was on a Wednesday. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

PapaRaptor, you can't tell an old farmboy from Mountain (north of Shawano) that summer was only on a Wednesday. The skeeters surely were beyond miserable by the previous Wednesday.

We had the "state bird" in Waupaca and as I recall it was shitty weather but they were still out there sucking blood.

Now only if I can get some of that 5 buck gas and see some palm trees.:cool::cool::cool::cool:
