HUD working with iOS & Google Maps

Sweet. I predicted this would happen on another thread earlier this year. Definitely an Apple antitrust issue.

Found myself using the HUD more during the drive to the lease than combined since I bought the truck. I despise Apple Maps. I used Google to navigate as a test, and Waze in the background for the audible police up ahead warning

Couldn’t get this to work last week. My phone is on 18.6.2. Is there a setting in IOS or Google Maps to make this work? Something in notifications maybe?

I haven't seen anything anywhere in the phone.

Previously if you used an iPhone Apple Maps could display on the HUD, using a droid google maps could display on the HUD, crossover wasn’t available.

If this is your issue I don’t know what to tell you. If neither works for you it’s a Ford programming issue. Common for early 2024 production. I spent to much time figuring it out.

Best advice… get a free dealership loaner and don’t return it until you confirm the fix.

It does work now with Android.

I saw that Google Maps had an update on 9/5. I'll have to try this in the truck today.
