Heated Mirrors?

Haven’t ordered yet as I’m mostly in TX, but when I replace the folding mirror motors I was going to install it.
I'm surprised they don't mess with the BCM from adding the extra load.
Hmm, they may go through a relay from the factory instead of the BCM directly. Not sure though. Having heated circuits go through a module is generally poor design.
One review from 2021 says "All of the images in the large portion of the mirror appears warped but bottom line is I can see and I will replace the large part with original equipment at some point."
I'm not exactly sure what to make of that though.
I think that review is talking about the larger upper mirror, not the convex one. Probably broke his factory one and needed a replacement. You can add a button for the mirrors on the touchscreen Climate Bar if you have the Unreal Engine enabled. That will allow you to turn them on and off independently, and confirm when they turn on with remote start.
EDIT: Tested this more and whenever either the heated mirror soft button or the rear defroster hard button are pressed, both turn on/off together.

FYI, I bought this kit in anticipation of putting on my '24, but it appears that I've found the one thing on the 2024 that Ford upgraded.
Nice find! Wonder if the 23s are this way too, or only 24s.
I’m on here searching to see if the convex mirrors are heated because I used mine for the first time yesterday and am pretty sure they are. I didn’t remove the mirror though.

My ‘22 Platinum has heated lower mirrors.
