It was written up as a new option. As I read it it was upgraded. I don’t know. But I gig there option which with the Platinum I believe I had to pay for it which I did.

Can you post the link where you read that? It’s not in the article you referenced here. I’ve done some googling and can’t seem to find a reference.
I think what might have occurred is how you purchase the driver assistance systems (I.e. part of trim versus part of package). I don’t think the associated hardware or software to those systems changed.

I guess an upgraded adaptive steering. I guess that’s what I read.

Adaptive steering didn’t change as a feature from what I’ve read. That doc is simply saying it’s no longer a standard item on the listed trims. It’s only standard on limited trims on the 21 models whereas it was standard on platinum and limited trims on the 20 models.

We are spoiled in Texas! If it gets below 40 we are freezing! We normally have a couple of days a year in the 30s, but then it goes right back up to the 60s again before we all freeze to death...

No, it's not "northern US cold", here in Amarillo, but after cutting ice, kicking hay, and feeding cattle on many snowy, icy, wind-blown days in winter, I can assure you the climate of the Texas panhandle is very different than the area you're referring.
