Ford Winch From Dealer

Yes it is. Dealer has sold other Tremors but mine is the first with a winch. They are good to deal with but lost about this. The winch was a want and not a need but I am paying for it today and would like to have it or at least know when I’m getting it.

I hope they get it straightened out. Make sure they give you a document stating they still owe it to you with install.

How much does the option cost? I would like one but don't need one necessarily.

MSRP is $3000, Invoice is a few hundred less but it is covered by the factory warranty when ordered with the truck. A winch is like another tool I carry, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. My trade has a crease down the side and a busted driver side mirror housing for want of a winch. Won't happen again.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually just about 8 pages deep into the wench thread posted earlier and it was in there somewhere. I can certianly make an argument for need v. want if I need to quite any inner buyers remorse!
 

I provided this to my dealer parts department a few weeks back and even with a part number, they couldn’t find it.

I’ve scoured the Internet and countless threads and I haven’t seen a single person yet that was able to get a winch, when it wasn’t specifically ordered for their truck. Tons of people happy to show their factory ordered winch option, but that’s no what most of us are asking..
 
This thread is great! Thank you. I was about to order a Tremor when the sales guy says do u want a winch? I'm like... wait Tremor package doesn't come with a winch? What??? And spare tire is a street tire???
Anyone do a 16,500 lb winch? Not trying to reinvent the wheel and do aftermarket projects yet.

Spare tire is the same 35” as the rest of the tires. It’s just a different wheel.

16.5 winch won't fit in the same area. It'll require a different bumper. It has a larger footprint than the zeon series of winches which is what the ford kit is so won't work with the factory bumper opening or brackets.

My winch is an XP not a Zeon. Ordered with truck

Right. The winch with the Ford kit is a medium footprint winch from warn. I thought it would have been the zeon series but it turns out it's an XP. The prior post was asking about a 16.5k winch which is a larger frame than the XP and zeon series so it won't work with the factory brackets or bumper
