Ford Winch From Dealer

I want to buy the as advertised Ford winch setup at the dealership and have them install it. That is what was originally advertised would be available. I bought my truck off the lot with the understanding that I could get Ford to install the winch at a later date. Has anyone been able to have them do this? I don't care how you ordered your truck or what option codes you used. I want to drive to my dealership, request the winch, and have it installed in the front of the truck where it was advertised. Done.
Every time I ask my dealer about this they look at me like I've lost my mind.

Having said that, my more recent experience with trying to order the exact truck I want is, many dealerships lack either the necessary information or knowledge, or both. What helped me the most is not letting them tell me "no," and I provided the actual Ford document outlining the 2021 Standard Equipment and Options for Super Duty (thanks to this site).

I believe there are a few guys on this site that have done what you're asking and there's a winch thread that has tons of info in it.

My dealership has been behind with appointments almost 2 weeks and the time needed to order parts is or can be weeks. I see that as more of the problem.
At some point I will have it on my Tremor. I will purchase the parts and install myself. Probably will be a winter project.

I have read it and most of it explains which codes to select when you order a new truck. No one seems to be going to the dealer, ordering it, and having it installed on a truck they already own.

The dealership should at least be able to look it up and order it for me. They act like it does not even exist when I ask about it. How can I get through to them what I want? I don't see it at Fordparts.com or any place else, either.

I used the Standard Equipment Document directly from Ford. I had trouble convincing them while ordering until I provided the document, but after they read it, they had no issue, along with other options they had no idea were available. I'm looking for the thread that has the attachment.

I will let my salesman order it for me when I am ready. He will figure out what needs to be ordered and get it placed with the parts manager. If the service department will swing me a deal I would consider having it done there.

I need to know what to tell the service department I want at Ford so their parts department can order it and schedule it to be installed right there. As it is right now they don't seem to understand that what I want is supposed to be sold and installed by the service department at the dealership. It is almost October and they can't figure it out.

It is supposed to be a standard Ford part installed at a regular dealership. It should be covered just like the rest of my truck is by Ford.

Yessir, things were immensely easier for me to order after I broke out that doc. Light bulbs started going on all over the dealership.
