Ford Towing Bootcamp

Most husbands would gladly spend $160.00 to have their wife learn to back up from someone else.. That's cheaper than a divorce by far. It could reduce the drama at the boat ramp though. That would be a bummer, nothing like the F you's thrown out by the girl friends and wives. One day a lady said F you and left the lake with the truck and trailer, leaving the a hole in the water. we never saw her come back. It was awesome, I'm sure every lady in that situation has thought of doing it.

Man....we could do this on our own. Get a few people together, coolers, chairs, and a parking lot. Key points will be you can't sit there, make comments and judgment without showing us how it's done. Either put up or shut up. 🤣 🤣 🤣
We could have various levels or training or areas of specialty. Parking lots, parking stalls, boat ramps, fuel pumps....

Hey throw $160 at me and she's going to learn A LOT more about backing up then she expects. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

How about a boot camp that teaches people how to move your damn car away from the gas pump after you fill up instead of going into the station for half an hour?

Honestly, I've come close to actually shifting into 4 low and shoving cars out of my way.

🤔

... might be getting grouchy as I age.

No. That's not it.

I've been an asshole my whole life. 😁👍

It's sad that this even needs to be a thing. But you'd think those that might actually need this kind of instruction would opt for the Pro Trailer Backup Assist?! We have truly become a society of soft men.

The email made it seem like half the course was about Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

Anyone else receive this email? I cannot wrap my head around paying $160-$320 for “towing advice”. Now if it was recovery maneuvering or something I’d consider it worth it. Anyone ever participated?

Come hang out with me at the boat ramp and you will see their target audience for this 😂

I’m sure it was put together by the same men that created that soft button.
I hate that my truck has it. I don't even know where all of the bull crap stickers and whatnot are that came with it.

100%, this is some of the best entertainment available for free.

Or this -

Phil Hill, the first U.S. FIA F1 World Champion with Ferrari, had been long retired but asked to chair a rising star motorsports racing driver Q&A at the Petersen Museum awhile back...

He had been running late, and made it to the podium in the nick of time. First question from a sports dad was, "Phil, what do you recommend young drivers do to improve their..."

Phil interrupted, "I'd tell 'em to GET OUT INTO THE INTERSECTION SO THE REST OF US CAN MAKE A LEFT TURN, TOO!"

The worst is the Prius that parks at the diesel pump.

I remember the good old days when all you had were 2 side view mirrors and neither were power. Still hearing my dad now.
"The LEFT son. To the LEFT!"
"Your OTHER left!"
"How many lefts do you have?!?"
"How do you put your shoes on the correct feet every day?!?"

What I've seen and experienced are two separate ways they convey what they want you to do. They either mean turn the steering wheel left/right or they mean the back end of the trailer needs to go left/right. Tell me which you are guiding on and it isn't an issue.

And honestly this isn't a surprise that a course like this is popping up. One hopes it covers safety while towing cause I'll be honest, heading to glamis I see dude ripping down the i8/i10 in excess of 75mph and you know damn well the tires aren't rated for it nor will they be able to stop in a timely manner if something goes sideways.

It was always the trailer direction, but to a 12 year old backing up a 30' boat it was not easy. Especially with a manual trans. His drill instructor teaching method worked. By 14, I could parallel park that rig. When I took my driving test at 16, they told me to parallel park the car. I explained that I had no idea how to parallel park unless there was a trailer attached
