📢 DEAL Ford Super Duty Extended Warranty at $25 Over Dealer Cost- PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE!

@zach@granger I'm surprised to see the coverage for the engine does not say "all internal parts". It just lists some components. What if lifters/camshaft fail? Doesnt seem to be covered by any of the warranty types.

It does say all internally lubricated parts

Zach@grangermotors can you elaborate on April price increase I have heard about?

I don't think even the Premium Care is as comprehensive as the factory bumper to bumper warranty.

The terms and conditions I recieved along with the contract says, COVERED ITEMS- PremiumCARE
If You elected PremiumCARE, all Failures are covered EXCEPT for those items excluded in the Provision titled: "WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT." I did not see any of the parts you listed specifically excluded.

The other CARE plans have the "COVERED ITEMS" listed.

None of ESP’s give coverage the same as the 3/36.
They don’t cover squeaks, rattles, leaks, fabrics, leather, some wiring, delaminating headlights, fading, etc…

Dealers used to have printed brochures that listed the coverages for the ESP’s and the maintenance plans. Grab one if you see them and put them in your records pack for future reference.

Four years later, my shocks went bad and I took it in for replacement and they told me that shocks are not covered and showed me the list which was online. I whipped out my paperwork with the covered items list on the MaintenanceCare brochure and there it was listed in black and white. Shocks!

The next day I picked it up with four new shocks and avoided paying the $700+ bill. Thanks to me keeping the paper pamphlet! I would have been beat if I didn’t have it!

It’s way to easy to alter online information these days to change the game plan.

The only brochure I've seen is the same one thats been posted in this thread a couple times now. It says, partial list.

The terms and conditions that came with my contract are clear enough for me. It lists all the included items for the lower CARE plans, along with some notes on items that are excluded, and then has exclusions for the PremiumCARE (which I have). Even PremiumCARE doesn't cover shocks. It only covers Macpherson style suspension components. I knew prior to purchase that it wasn't an extension of the B to B warranty, but it does cover enough to make it worthwhile.

Sorry, I should have stressed the pamphlet was for the MaintenanceCare coverage.
It’s a Ford produced folded pamphlet about 3”x 6” that usually sits in a little stand on the F&I sales desk where you sign the final papers and they try upselling you on all the extras like the ESP’s, gap insurance, mop & glow, alarms, undercoating, aftermarket goodies, etc…

Just to show you how much the markup can be on that stuff, a good F&I mgr can/should earn about $125-$175K a year (and more!).
That includes them getting a nice slice of the pie on the financing reserves.

Got my confirmation email from Maria today for my wife's 21 Expedition which was about to meet the 3yr 36k mark. If it wasn't for a hvac and roof replacement in the same month, I'd have gotten it for my 23 F250.

So I was all set to give Zach my money until I saw that he doesn't take dirty money from California. Izzat cause we have a bunch of commies in Sacramento?

I took a screen shot of his prices to take to my dealer to bargain with. What are the chances that he won't know that Zach doesn't want my money? Slim, or none?

About a year ago some kind of amendment or law change happened that requires these extended service contracts to be sold to California residents by California dealers only. So now the dealership has the upper hand and really no insensitive to even try to be competitive with the online sellers.

Like Florida residents, you still can use an out of state address to purchase a discounted plan from Granger or the like.

I find it hard to believe that if I use my brother's address in Oregon (for a truck registered in CA) and take it to my local CA dealer that they're not going to cry foul or worse.
