$500

Selling the factory installed retractable tonneau that I ordered with the truck. This is the embark LS that really seems to be a Retrax XR. I picked my truck up from Granger in November 2022. Why sell? I’m going for a smartcap. I think.

This tonneau has some dents from hail. Depending on your angle and the sun you either see none, or a bunch. I kept it on the truck for a while since I couldn’t see the dents. In fact, I thought the tonneau was fine until an eagle eyed friend pointed them out.

The passenger side latch digs into the rail (see photo). It sometimes needs a “thump” from the operator to unlock. I didn’t think it was a big deal, but it occurred to me while making this post.

I have both keys and the installation manual.

I don’t plan to remove my sticker collection on the canister, unless it really bothers the buyer.

I don’t want to think about shipping this thing, so in person sales only. I’m just north of Austin.

Since it’s used and cosmetically dented, I’m asking $500. My hope is that sometime wants a great tonneau for a fraction of a new price and doesn’t care about the hail dents. For now I’m only posting this for sale on this site.

So, I guess Retrax does do this as OEM for ford. I have a retrax and I paid a lot more that 500 for it. Its a great lockable cover with side rails. GLWS!!

Does it leak at all?

Does it leak at all?

I think the correct answer is yes - in the heavy rain there will be a few wet spots in the corners and at least one spot dead center about a foot or so into the bed. It’s my second truck with the retractable tonneau and I believe just what you get with the product, but maybe it wasn’t installed perfectly?

If you’re asking whether the hail or use has damaged the cover in any way that creates leaks, the answer is no.

Correct statement
They all will leak just a little with heavy rain and power washing near edges but very minimal.

Real tempting, I have the Built-rite panels installed, would you know if the panels interfere with rail brackets?
