I'm also curious about the value of them. I have 60,000 or something from servicing my current truck, and will get another bunch from the purchase of the Tremor once it arrives. But have no idea how much that is in dollars.

Based on this page, you get 42,000 points for a gas engine, 75,000 points for a diesel engine:
You definitely need to do that....though I don't know what that means, either. Is your truck setup with Ford Pass such that you can remote start from your phone and such?

If you activate your modem make sure if you have bad driving habits.. Turn off the “sharing data with insurance company” in Sync.
Not positive that’s what it’s called but your cars info on driving habits, mileage ect are shared with your insurance company ?

Your dealer should have done that when you picked up the truck. Mine walked me through the process after closing the deal and getting my orientation. If they did that and you have Ford Pass the points should have shown up within a few days of receiving the truck.

My new truck should be delivered any day now. What do I have to do to ensure I get my points. I have the app downloaded on my phone. Do I just have to ask the dealership to add my points from the new truck purchase?

That’s true for gas engines, but as I noted higher up in the thread according to Ford’s website it’s 75,000 for diesel engines.

My local dealer service guy told me to take the number of points I have and multiply by .005 to get the dollar value of my points. Seems to work out correctly that way based on my prior math.
I got 42,000 points when I bought my truck in April. There are other ways to get points and stack them up. I think the dealership had already turned the modem on in the truck as part of their delivery process, but I turned it off and also made sure to turn off that insurance sharing crap.
If you pay your insurance using the card you get 3% in points back. Same for gas I think, so I use it for that too. There is more info on the Ford Card site.
These point values are better than I was getting with my Navy Fed card.
