For those of you with fifth wheels, specifically toyhaulers, are you running slider hitches or offset balls? I am considering moving from my 29GS (can't get it to tow decent in the wind with the Can Am Maverick in the garage) to a Valor 35A14. I plan to do the OEM Moryde goosetech option and debating between the straight BW ball or a 5" offset Gen Y. I have the factory puck system. Gemini has recommended both. I like closer to the cab for towing but I don't want to smack the cab. I wish the 29GS pulled better because its a great trailer but too many close calls on the interstate and white knuckle all the time. Nashville to Little Rock was miserable and OKC to Amarillo was as well. Tulsa to Sioux falls was also miserable. It's fine on two lanes, but I'm constantly battling it on the highway.

Gen Y 5” offset. It’ll get you darn near 90°. I use it with my Gen Y executive gooseneck and it ties in great with the factory puck system.

We run a Reese goose box hitch with a Gen Y 5” offset ball works great. Like @gmbpilot757 said you can get close to a 90 degree turn.

I would never want to get mine 90*. Shackle hangers start to go SNAP.

It really hard on the suspension for sure.

Never had mine even close, mostly for that reason. I’ve seen videos online where guys are testing the offset and are getting to 88°.
