First time in the snow

Sorry for the first post. But I had a Prius. I put blizzacks on it and it would hold the road on my days the to the slope. Now I do love the environment and love my hybrid, it cam to the point of I needed something more to haul my tear drop and my small sail boat. I like to camp and sail the small waters with my 21’ skiff.

Anyway, I was liking the Ford Bronco, but it didn’t have the towing capacity of a Prius so why bother? It looked cool and tough. But come on Ford! Toyota had it down and gets 45 mpg!

Anyway, the Ford offered the F250 with a tremor package. It seems to check the boxes of course. But the gas engine seems very dumb for the environment.

But on the other hand, the diesel which is smelly and shoots blacked smoke out is too redneck for me. I can’t be seen in my neighborhood with a nasty diesel!

thoughts? I want a burley truck to tow more but I really don’t want to give my neighbors ammo to mess with me!!!
OMFG! Not talkiing to you on this forum! A Prius owner? Nasty Diesel? you're trying to make friends really quick here! At least you put Blizzacks on the Prius, but between the Prius's and the Amish buggies I could never make it to work on time! Always in my way! Too bad you think a gas engine is DUMB for the environment... good luck with your life!

Well, I’m sorry just trying to figure things out and get into the “life” of big trucks. I don’t know my parents. Just grew up in a area of living the environment but also enjoyed it. I realized my car wouldn’t do what I truly loved and started thinking outside the box. I saw a Tremor at a Ford dealer and thought, damn, that is a truck that can take me anywhere!

but my other side was like....American excess and dirty diesel! Ugh. I really don’t know much other than you put an additional fluid in with diesel now. It goes on the same tank?

or I go with a gas motor and get BAD gas mileage. Sucks to choose.

You don't need a big truck to tow your loads, look at the F150, a Tundra, etc... they will make you more environmentally happy!

Thank you. I’ll drive one for sure. It’s expensive and my friends said it’s bad for the environment. But I’ll drive one. Do you think I need one for a tear drop camper and my little skiff?

You do have to add def for a diesel and it is a separate tank

But the F150 doesn’t have a tenor package. I want to be able to go places I cant with my car.

You are mis-informed as are most people in Oregon... yes they have a F-150 Tremor package moving forward... order it!

You would have to check and see how heavy your trailer and boat are you my be able to use a f150 but f250 will definitely haul your stuff

So a f-150 can pull my little RV and skiff? But the F150 doesn’t seem as high as the F250

Fresh wax job made cleaning the hood and roof a matter of just hitting the brakes.
