Feeler thread. I will have a set of five OEM Duratrac tires available for sale when I get new tires, on backorder. Tires have almost 8K miles on them, so not sure what they’re worth.

Should I just have discount tire dispose of them? Dislike sitting on stuff to sell for months.

Tires only. No rims or TPMS.

8k isn’t so much unless they’re all rock crawling miles. Definitely worthy of a sale if they’re in reasonable shape. Heck, that might even help justify a road trip to Texas on my way to Wyoming!😁

Mostly all pavement miles. What would be a fair price for the set in all seriousness?

I’d first gauge how much tread is left (I’d guess you’ve got 3/4 tread still left, but measuring is easy). They go for something like $360 on line new. I haven’t priced used tires much, but I’d guess $150 - $200 apiece used if they’ve still got really good tread - some folks will be gun shy on 8,000 mile tires, and it depends on your area market. Anyone feel free to correct me on the market if you have any better information.

Fronts are 9/32" Rears are 12/32". Seems kinda odd to be honest for not even 8K miles yet.

Honestly if you were on my side of the US I would pick them up. My next set im looking for is that size. I would say you should get 600-800 for them pretty easy.

That’s a lot of wear for only 8,000 miles. New they are 18/32’s. I have almost 60,000 miles on mine. If you were in my area I’d give you a few hundred for a set of half worn duratracs, to throw on before I trade my 21’ in next month. I’m in the minority though, i like them.

Maybe I got a bad batch? I rotate at 3.5k miles. Super frustrating not getting lifespan like others though.

Duratracs are hit and miss with OEM tires. But having 8k miles on the set with two at 9/32 and 2 at 12/32 is a little odd being they were rotated every 3.5k miles.

Do you do mostly city driving, or short distances? I could see that as a possible culprit.

Also, I would say with the tread remaining on the 4 and assuming the 5th is still new, you would probably do good at $300-450 for the set. IMO

This would be my guess then. Duratracs for some reason hate stop and go with lots of turning (City driving).
Yeah the rubber compound seems way too soft and leaves marks easily on the driveway.
