Factory power running boards.

Ah, that was probably it, it would change back on the next start up. But, I will check in the morning unless you do before me.
Yep, changes right back. Seems like it shouldn't.

Sorry for also derailing this thread.

Hey everyone, first post here, I am buying my 2022 Tremer this weekend and I'm buying a used one since Ford hasn't built mine yet and it's been a year. Anywhere, the one I'm getting has power running boards and I'm more of a fan of the regular Raptor style boards, anyone who would be willing to trade? I'm willing to ship or meet half way if the drive won't be too long! Thanks in Advance!
Were you able to get your Tremor? If so how do you like/dislike the power running boards after a few days? I love the fact that when I open the door to exit, I can actually step out on the board and stand there a moment before stepping to the ground. It's actually usable. Then when I look at the truck from a distance once closing the door the truck has that clean look with the boards tucked up.

Here's a little tip if you didn't pick up on it above. If you want the boards to stay down, say for cleaning purposes, you can put your foot on the board while the door is open and close the door. You'll feel the motor try to raise the board momentarily and then shut off. This is perfectly safe and normal and the board will stay down until you open and close the door again on that side.

Where are you located?
I am in Indiana, im willing to meet half way for a swap. These boards are brand new on my 2022 F350.

Exactly why I purchased a set of fixed boards, waiting for new wheels and tires to come in before I get rid of my power boards in the off chance I cant get my fat ass in the truck hahah. The power boards do drop down considerably more, but I am willing to give up the convenience for the protection.
I'm in the same boat, I had an order in for a Tremor for 11 months with no word on being built and then found one for sale and bought it. It just had a few things I don't like and now I'm swapping things out to make it exactly what I want. Hope your project works for you and you can reach the boards!lol

Car to expand on this as I would love to get rid of my tremor birds and install the factory power boards. Is the ipc change just a forscan mod? OP where are you located ?
Hey, if you find out that the swap is possible and would like to trade, im in Indiana and these boards are brand new! Thanks

Heaviest thing I pick up these days is the checkbook.
Hahaha totally agree. The older I get the less I want to do stuff myself. I've been asking myself how the f did I do this to things I've done to my truck and toy-hauler many years ago that I could care less to do today.

Anyone know the fuse number/location for a ‘24 F250 factory power running boards? Manual doesn’t have it listed so either it’s a shared fused or it’s undocumented

Each person parks differently, and I avoid parking in congested lots as much as I can.

So, it's entirely up to you how you want to manage your power steps. Before I close the door, I leave my foot on the step, and hold it for 2 seconds.

Also, there may be a few people who don't know that's an option.

Would be cool if the steps stayed down upon parking.
Amp boards are the cats meow. You can make them stay down as described above. That is the cleaning mode used when you are washing the truck. Works great.

Amp power running boards have a manual switch you can purchase. I have installed over a dozen Amp power steps for a local body shop...the switch is very useful for the new broncos or jeeps where you can remove the doors. You can cut them off and they stay up or lower the boards as needed. The Amp switch cost about $60

I wired some of the power boards with a toggle switch to keep them up on few guys trucks that were used as Swamp buggies...to protect the steps in Ice or lots of mud caking up.

I contemplated installing AMP power boards on my 23 Tremor but I think the factory boards deflect a lot of rocks/gravel and it did not want a lot of stone chips on side of the truck. And I still might do it in the future. My last two trucks had them on it and I loved them.

The wife has a 23 Bronco Outer Banks with sasquatch package with the big tires, the factory running boards caught a lot a rocks the tires sling up and the Power boards caused rock pecks on fender flairs and lower body...I have stone chips on the door handles. I put a switch in the bronco. she is about 5 ft tall.

power boards are now controlled by the drivers seat module.
