You probably could if you laid a couple pieces of plywood crossways. I think the biggest problem with their payload would be above the drawers. I have a slight bit of sag in the metal on the passenger side. Probably because that's where I always load and unload my heavy rolls of wire and my full 32 qt cooler. I am always chunking them up there from behind the tailgate with the tailgate open

Thats not a bad idea either. Typically my "payload" is pallets of material.
