Sold my original wheels/tires/caps/lugs and then thought.........What am I going to do when I have a flat? I don't have any lugs! Ordered 8 factory lugs from a buddy but got to thinking about a few things.
#1 Will one of these Methods with 305/70-18 fit in place of the factory spare?
#2 Say I ordered a 5th tire set up and had a TPMS in it, would the truck wig out? (Doesn't seem to matter on the 26 as it seems the truck confirms tire psi more or less when it is rolling). Is this correct?
#3. What I am likely going to do is simply order a wheel and tire, install a standard valve in it and swap out spares..........

***Factory tire on the right, not the spare.

Thoughts?

You should be fine as 305/70R18 tire is smaller than a 37x12.5r18 tire which we know will fit on the OEM wheel in the spare location. 37" tires with aftermarket wheels don't always fit in the spare location.

Since your diameter is approximately 34.81 inches (often cited as a ~34.8" or ~35"-class metric tire), you'd likely be able to offset any impact the Method wheel has given the approximately 2" smaller diameter.
