Best Fitting Trailer Hitch? Or Do They All Rattle?

This works for me. One on the side and one on top. No slop or rattle and I've never had one fall out.
Have you towed a trailer any appreciable distance with those? I can't envision them lasting. For dealing with general rattling, sure, but once loaded they'd just get smashed in my mind (same with the duct tape suggestions).

Well it's not hard to tell not many people live places where you deal with salt and rust. On older vehicles I've literally had to file away the inside of a receiver tube to get rid of the rust and actually allow the hitch to fit into the receiver. There needs to be tolerance, not every truck gets the luxury of being in California or just being babied.

Use a reducer and there is 0 movement…or am I missing something?

I live off a very bumpy dirt road. I’ve literally never heard anything rattle on this truck. My B&W is on 100% of the time, with the iron grip hitch pin I linked above (which may be why there isn’t any rattle) But, does no one drive while listening to music/talk radio or anything? I mean, geez, these trucks have some engine noise in the cab (not a lot in my opinion) but I just don’t see how people can hear a rattle from the back of the truck with windows up and some sort of radio on, or even off for that matter. I had a regular hitch pin on my F150 and i never heard rattle on that either. I guess some guys have very attuned heari

Listen to music is what I was thinking but more so the exhaust 😬

From day 1 if you sprayed the inside of the receiver with a rust preventative periodically I HIGHLY doubt you would have to do that. Brushing/filing out the rust on a new to you truck and then hitting it with rust preventative is a small price to pay for a good fit imho. The rest of the frame will rot away before a receiver with some rust inhibitor sprayed into it, in the land of salt.

Totally get that and agree, it won't happen on my truck.

Just keep in mind a lot of Super Duty trucks go to businesses and industry and go not get that treatment. Who wants to be on a job site and not be able to get the hitch in the receiver... The paint on the inside of the receiver also gets a real going over when a truck really gets used and abused.
