Best Aluminum receiver hitch. Weigh Safe?

I got the weigh safe in cerakote, with 6" drop. It's perfect, looks great, is rated for like 20k, and I don't risk a back injury installing/removing it. Also great to be able to dial in the tongue weight easily. It was worth the wait.
Do you feel the 6” drop was enough or do you wish you would have gotten the 8” Also do you think the cerakote finish will hold up over time? Im guessing it’s pretty durable but curious how yours is holding up. Thanks

I've only had a couple Aluminum Hitches. They wear after awhile, they become loose. Then they begin to clunk when towing. Combine that with Hydraulic/Electric Trailer Brakes, drive ya nucking fits. You've gotta pick your battles. Here in Florida, my B&W Steel Hitch will rust, I just clean it up when it does.

When you live in a City. The Hitch remains ..

I've towed my boat, utility trailer, and my 14' dump trailer, and the 6" drop is just right. I debated before ordering, but am glad I went with just the 6" drop. You can always do a trial with a cheaper steel hitch and reducing adapters, that's what I did to help make the decision. (I already had a lighter duty 6" steel drop hitch on hand).
The crerakote finish seems like it is durable and will hold up well. Time will tell, I've only had it a couple months.

@Tremordreaming I went with the 8" drop which was needed for my motorcycle trailer. If you measure the height of your tongue when level I'd be happy to give you a height to the top of the ball if it will help you decide which drop you will need. In my case the 6" would put my enclosed trailer nose high on a stock tremor (suspension/tires).

Also went with 8" drop for my small utv trailer to sit level. Love the look of this hitch on my Agate Black Tremor.

Appreciate the offer but I’m going to just go with the 8” as I have 4 different trailers I’ll be pulling. Thanks though! Don’t want to spend that much money and have any ragrets.

I run a Weigh-Safe on my truck in the non-cerakote version. I leave it in all the time...half the drivers in Houston don't have insurance lol

I've got the 10" drop in stock right now, sold out on 6" and 8" at the moment so we'd need to backorder those.
Hey Nick, did you get the 3” AL with 8” drop in stock? How much, what’s included?

Yes sir! I've got them in stock right now. I use the "keyed alike" kits.

  • 2" Ball
  • 2 5/16" Ball
  • Ball Retaining Pin

  • Hitch Locking Pin w/ Matching Key to Slider Locking Pin
  • 2 Keys
  • Dust Cover for Hitch Lock

You can also add a 1 7/8" hitch ball just in case. I've only ever encountered a trailer with that small of a hitch one time, but it'd be my luck that it would happen to me when I needed to move something lol

Feel free too end me a PM and I'll be glad to get you setup!
