Did you ever get a chance to measure how high above the cab your LPO sits?I’m pretty happy with it. The only complaints I’ve had have been very minor issues, and Lone Peak has reached out to fix them without me asking. My camper was low single digits out the door, and as such a few issues were just growing pains. Others had reached out to Lone Peak before I ever had the chance, and in doing so Lone Peak reached out to me offering solutions without me having to ask.
The bed is very comfortable, which is a big plus to me. Interior layout is well thought out, and the JuiceBox is well worth the extra coin. Doing it over I’d forego the Power Panel though, and I’d build it myself. I’d prefer at least 30 amp MPPT and DC/DC abilities. There’s nothing wrong with the controllers they sell with the Power Panel, but I’m going to end up replacing their 20 amp controllers with 30 amp controllers. Highly recommend the roof vent fan, and also recommend placing it towards the back of the camper. With it at the back of the camper you can easily place 2 - 200 watt panels side by side on the roof. Also the placement is preferred to run the fan while collapsed if so desired. You just have to move the tent fabric slightly back. Overall I’m very pleased with the camper, and would buy again.
I haven’t gotten around to measuring it. Honestly it just slipped my mind. My garage opening is 84”, and I had right at 1/2” clearance between my truck roof and the garage opening as it was. I knew going in that I wouldn’t be able to park inside, which wasn’t a concern for me. I’ll try to get a measurement this weekend when I get home.Did you ever get a chance to measure how high above the cab your LPO sits?
Also, have you run into clearance issues since you have the vent? They mentioned it sits 4" above the camper top
I met Kyle and Kecia a few weeks back when I went to visit them/see their product. They were fun to talk with. I told them about you mentioning them solving a problem without you asking. They were giddy to hear that. In fact, they were trying to think of your name b/c you bought early enough that you were one of like 2-3 guys in the entire state of Texas that had one at that time.
They've permanently moved where they put the fan and are only mounting it in the back part so, as you mentioned, you can run it with it closed. My concern, as mentioned above with my question is that my truck STOCK is near 7'. My shed opening is 7'11". They told me the LPO sits 10" above the cab with no vent/roof bars. Add the vent and its +4". That puts me at +14" which will likely require me to air down a few inches just to barely fit.
While it wont affect my decision to purchase, I would like to know instead of find out. Any measuring you do is greatly appreciated.
