ASAP Emissions Intact tuning

I want a nexgen valve body.

That should help the 10r140 a lot, and might be worth the warranty risk.

Still mulling it over.

I was concerned on my test drives with the BS skip-shift crap. Hated it and made the truck drive horribly. Almost made me not want to buy the truck. Dove in the pool anyway after doing much research and put a Banks on her and it NEVER skip shifts anymore. I would love to tighten up the shifting, but don't want to lose warranty on a tune that can be easily found if removed for service from the key switch data stored in the ECU/TCM.
Mine don't skip anymore aftet the PM.

Good point.

@HeavyAssault loves Gale Banks

Got to love a guy that PROVES to the world the industry DOES MAKE POWER with some products. Company A makes an intake....Gale SHOWS IT DOES TRULEY MAKE POWER....then just shows his can make MORE MORE POWER. :oops::oops:🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
DPF back exhausts don't do anything.....Gale : HOLD MY BEER BITCH!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

:cool::cool:🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Oh no...

You woke the #1 asshole here. 😇

I'm only like top 5 on the list.

If you're a good driver with ssteady and deliberate right foot which i assome you are...

Tow/haul mode is your friend.

How would this drive compared to a pedal monster?
IDK my new friend.

That Pedal monster does things they can't advertise.

Obd2 connection baby.

I am feeling a bit of a clunk between 1st and 2nd lately.

I wish i could tune it to start out in 2nd gear most of the time.

I mean. .. 10 gears with no granny 1st?

Come on maaannnn...

Banks told me on the phone that they couldn't safely get any more out of the 6.7HO. that's why there isn't a derringer available for it.

I'd be leery of no name bullshit tunes.

If Banks can't do it, nobody can do it.... safely.

Buy a pedal monster instead.
Are you serious that shit he pedals isn’t even tuning it’s inline foolers

St
Have anew 6.7L HO and am interested in ASAP Emission Intact tune. I ran Calibrated Power tune(Emission Intact) on my last 2020 6.7L for 160k miles and it was great. Anyone have any experience or input? And how was fuel economy affected? Thanks
Stick with Nick at calibrated power/duramax tuner.com he’s pretty much had the emissions intact tuning nailed down for years he started perfecting that back when everybody else was only doing delete tuning

For what it is worth, I think most folks get a tune that increases max horsepower chasing something they may not fully realize isn't achieved simply by a max HP number. If you ask the people why they want a tune that makes 600HP versus what the HO makes stock at 500HP they will generally respond, "Because I want to be able to go from 30MPH to 60MPH in X amount of seconds," or, "Because I thought my truck would be quicker/faster/more responsive having 500 HP," or something similar. Unfortunately, increasing max HP isn't the way to go about it. Sure your truck may make 725 horsepower but that is at 3600 RPM in 6th gear. Going down the road, that won't really do anything besides rap the fucking engine up so high it is screaming like a Hamilton hooker on Lincoln night.

What, in my opinion, most should be doing is looking at what horsepower and torque the truck is making at specific RPM/speed and what gear the transmission is in and go for modifications that optimize those numbers. Getting a tune, or as a couple others have said throttle point optimization device, that maximizes horsepower/torque and gearing at specific RPM/speed is the better path. Sure, you won't having bragging rights where you can run out with a puffed up chest and swollen balls saying you have 800 RW HP but you will have much better numbers where it counts. But, most importantly, your engine will be in much less of a risk of damage or failure.

ASAP is one of the lead tuners in the game, not some no name bull shit, so respectfully I don’t think you know what you’re talking about.

Great, he's got several trans tune options he can tailer that a pedal monster can't. Tow haul and engine braking improvements as well as a second gear start option. An option to shift linear without skip (unless at wot), an option to skip shift like stock but different pressure and shift points, as well as a skip 1-3 then no skip from there which is my favorite with medium shift points and pressures.

There would be no comparison other than a pedal monster would increase pedal sensitivity but not change anything with how trans shifts, or the annoying clunk he talks about, or weird dead pedal shift it does sometimes or cold weather warm up shift flare most people get somewhere between 3rd and 7th almost everyone gets occasionally.

Dumb gasser guy question (and Stock HO owner) does ASAP do custom tunes to your truck? On my Hemifever tune I filled out all the options, they sent me a base tune, I uploaded it, I then recorded several scenarios with the tune (0-60, cruise at 75 mph etc.) and sent the ecm data to them and they updated the file and sent me a custom one to upload. I never had a single second of long term trim with their custom tunes so I felt like they did the job. Main issue was traction with 37”s and 5.13s. (even with stock 4.10s) He would also do minor updates for free (intake, headers) or a modest fee to do a cam or supercharger update. On the ZF-8 he did transmission tunes as well.

On my Magnum I had Kenne Bell do a custom tune (mail the ECM and they tuned and sent back) at it was magnificent. Huge power and mileage improvements but in fairness that was a pretty basic engine.

I would like custom gear selection on this truck. Start in second or skip second when in normal, and use all gears in tow-haul. Not sure that’s possible but the transmission tune alone would be worth it to me. To the point above I don’t need x horsepower but it wouldn’t hurt to drive a little less like a Kenworth auto shift at low speeds.
