pkrexor, richtor, others,
like others have mentioned, take a look at this. for both 6.7L & 7.3L engines
Banks Pedal Monster (⬅ click on it )
Thanks Todd. 295$. Snagged it. Now cold air intake and Steel Turbo Tubing. Maybe an exhaust.
Cant wait to get my Pretty Beast to put all these goodies on. So did you get anything for your ride yet.

I don’t know if it will work for sure. It said it works on 6.7L Ford. Didn’t ask for a year just motor I believe. I paid for it and it’s coming. I hope so Todd my brother. I won’t be getting my Beast till January. If you wait I’ll let you know.

Happened to me, I think it has to do with Ford’s torque management to prevent all the power from dumping into the tranny. I think it needs some refinement as it happens when you barely start moving, let off and then get on it. My old truck did it way worse so got used to not pulling out in front of people and getting into the throttle earlier then I need to.
Happened to me exactly that way. glad I’m not the only one. I’m ready for it now, but less than ideal for sure. I usually have something in the bed (chainsaws, etc.) that i don’t want to jostle about, so i typically drive pretty smoothly, but this pedal response makes it a bit tricky.

This is usually caused by 2 foot driving. I think we all tend to do it at times. It is a safety measure built in to not allow the throttle to increase if your foot is on the brake. Very common question that happens with most makes. Remember the Toyota unintended acceleration situation? This is a remedy that most manufacturers use to alleviate the situation. Try it out on purpose and you will be able to Duplicate it. Most of us 2 foot it at times like in this situation you mention.
Never do it. Left foot is for the clutch.

So I had weird thing happen to me tonight and I recall hearing someone else having this issue as well.

I was coming down a pretty steep driveway and was coasting out into the intersection before punching it. There was a car coming, but should have had plenty of time. When I stepped on the gas, it felt like nothing was there... for a moment I thought the damn truck stalled. It took a good 2-3 seconds before the truck responded and power returned but almost caused the car to hit me.

I've had the truck for about a month now and it was my first time experiencing this. It felt like traction control kicked on and cut the engine. Freaked me out... I hope this doesn't continue to happen.
Had it happen on my old 05 6.0 F250 Diesel and dealer said they could not find anything wrong. One time I almost got hit in the side because of it.

I got the Pedal Monster standalone that just works of my iPhone
I like it. No issues
Just got my pedal monster friday. Havent driven much, but liked it so far. Still figuring out what setting I will stay on.

I'm curious how the Banks Pedal Monster will help with this situation. As far as I can tell, all it does is change the throttle position mapping of the pedal. It doesn't seem to increase throttle response, which is the main topic of this thread. Am I missing something?

Seems like this is more of a torque management issue and not a throttle sensitivity one? I would think that only tuning could eliminate this from happening.

I also don't two feet drive.. though I was switching from brake to gas quickly, maybe that had something to do with it.

This happened to me yesterday. Pulling out from a parking lot, rolling slow. I had a long hesitation and for a second thought I stalled. I was not 2 foot driving so I don't think that has anything to do with it.

From what I’ve read, the Pedal Monster has (3) primary categories of settings with (10) levels of refinement in each of the main (3), for a total of (30). It boosts/adjusts the throttle response at low speeds, eliminating dead-pedal.
I do not have one yet, so I can’t speak from personal experience.

Just curious why you don't like 5 star? I don't have any experience working with them or using their tunes, so just looking for feedback.

Seems like others have had good experiences

Not of fan of five star any other tunes out there?

I like to be John Force when stopped at red lights and they turn green, I thought this lack of response was just the infamous turbo lag, from a rolling stop it has no problem accelerating, from a dead stop you aren't moving for what seems like for ever.

That's what I got out of it too. That is, it adjusts pedal refinement. But ultimately, it doesn't seem to decrease the time between the driver hitting the throttle and fuel being dumped into the cylinders.

Personally, I haven't experienced this 2-3 second wait time yet. The worst I got was about a half second dead time, but that was because I forgot hit the throttle in anticipation of it being my turn at the stop sign. Normally, I get the turbo to start spooling to decrease the amount of turbo lag by rolling the truck forward a bit before I gun it. I hear turbo lag has gone down with the 2020 MY. I can't imagine how bad it was before the update.

Mainly the name, basic with no imagination and there are ton other 5star named businesses. I don't like how they take FX4 stickers and name them FX5 like they are oem. Any company that has to make their company look like a factory trim level to drum up business is crap in my book. They are just a normal tuner that got hooked up with tfl.

I think its the damn drive by wire. Ive noticed at times the pressure on the pedal and the rate of response is not always consistent. Seems to happen more when in eco mode.
I don't use the ECO mode anymore. doesn't seem to give me any better economy and it drives like shit. Dry days no load its sport mode, wet rainy days it normal or towing mode.

careful on the cold air set up, there is some downside to them. I have had issues before with them on the diesels. They are fine on the gassers.

Good to know. I heard on that "work and play" channel on utube. the dude from Canada with the F350 FX4 Platty, changed his Turbo hoses over to metal tubes. Ive seen other videos that say the stock hoses are crap. Especially for heavy towing. Now i wont be towing that much yet or at all till I get my RV. But want to set up my rig up right and get as much shit done to it right away and not look back. In for a penny, in for a pound. So thanks. Any info is appreciated.

More so with the air filters, the difference in filtration can upset the sensors
I am keeping mine stock and if It needs an upgrade will do so if it is warranted. The 6.7 is made to haul and work hard so expect it will. So far it has delivered as promised.

I have noticed that driving in sand/deep snow is really the best way to eliminate torque management.

From my own feel its the most sporty mode on dry ground.

Tried it accidentally and the truck went like snot as apposed to normal or eco.
