Having fun with the meme generator.
Reminds me of a joke about a small town east of here (and probably a variation told about many a small town):
Mostly spot on, but it gives too much credit to engineers
Shark Week in Louisiana is a cooking show.
Thanks for fogging up my specs @Phillbo !
Bruhhhhh, shhhhh.....I want to see what happens, via Youtube of course.^ ^ ^ Problems there are several
.50 BMG brass is .804" dia - 12 ga shotshell's brass is .800"
12 ga chamber is either 2.75" or 3.00" in length whereas the .50 BMG is 3.91"
Even if one could close the bolt on the case, then that's where the real danger lies: 12 ga chamber pressures are in the neighborhood of 11,500 to 14,000 psi but not designed to contain the 55,000 to 65,000 psi pressures of the BMG cartridge.
Thanks for sharing. Although it was very underwhelming.7:25ish
See, I would have expected the weapon to explode.7:25ish
There is nothing to facilitate the pressure buildup necessary to rupture the chamber - the expanding gasses just blow past the undersized bullet virtually unrestricted. That’s why it sounds so anemic in the video. I wouldn’t be surprised if the actual pressure imparted on the chamber is somewhere around a 22LR.See, I would have expected the weapon to explode.
No forcing cone. No pressure.See, I would have expected the weapon to explode.
