Nah, I was just being silly with the edict.
It actually was an idea from the daughter years ago. I don’t even really remember why it came up. I do remember her saying something along the lines of “every kid has a grandpa, but none of them have a dude” That’s why I said “We” decided.

Oooh! Oooooh. I got one:

Late one evening in a very crowded waterfront bar, a very large, fairly unattractive woman burst upon the scene and she was thirsty.

She called out, "Would anyone here like to buy me a drink?!" which she repeated numerous times while waving her arm high in the air. Her lack of success was more than likely due to her tank top, copious armpit hair and her generally unpleasant scent...

A very, very drunk old coot, almost nodding off while barely able to retain his seated position on his barstool called out to the bartender, "I'D LIKE TO BUY THE BALLERINA A DRINK!"

The bartender came over, leaned in and whispered, "Mac, you are 86'd. That is CLEARLY no ballerina."
