2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

My ‘in production’ build got a date of 11/21 over night last night. It still shows in production. I haven’t seen anything in FordPass.

This afternoon I talked with ford chat and they told me “The vehicle has been received by a carrier at a ramp location (Ramp Zq, Gfx Louisville, KY) as of Nov-22-2023, 06:58 ET with an ETA for delivery between 12/9 -12/15.”

The tracker still shows ‘in production’. So I’m guessing the tracker is showing delayed information.

Ford Chat will give you the rail car number!!

Just got mine in just a few minutes on Chat and then on the Norfolk Southern rail tracker you only need the first letter (always an 8 for the “T”) on in my case Norfolk Southern and then the numeric digits and the Norfolk Southern Autorack rail car with my truck is sitting in a rail yard in Roanoke VA waiting for a train to Pertersburg VA 163 rail miles away. Then will be trucked 2-1/2 hours to dealer.

Yeah, I asked for the car number, but it hasn’t been loaded yet. I imagine it won’t be loaded until after the shipper’s holiday closure. Not sure if that’s Saturday or Monday.
I’m thinking my tracker won’t show shipped until then.

It will sit on the Ford rail yard next to the plant until the 4 double decker AuroRacks are full, then a train will be hooked up and it will leave the plant. Depend on how full the other 4 rail cars are when yours is added. You could be the last vehicle loaded and leave quickly or the first and have to wait for all the other 4 auto racks full of trucks to be loaded.

This is all they gave me

So in my case the Norfolk Southern rail tracking site has a ton more current info than the dealer or Ford Chat site has available. The dealer and Chat said they didn’t have any info past when it was loaded into the autorack rail car. Norfolk Southern tracking shows it in their extensive rail yard in Roanoke VA.

I would say yes, but the dealer was supposed to do it. Unless it comes from Ford to the local liner guys? I dunno 🤷
From a few others on here mentioning, there’s a shop nearby the factory that does the spray in liner. Don’t think that’s a dealer installed option unless you worked that out specifically with the dealer.

Yes, ground effects does all the spray liners that’s across the street from the factory

Good grief, can’t fords expecting arrival day just be good enough? Sorry for the rant, I just picture a bunch of rail employees getting harassed by pickup buyers, as if it’s gonna speed up the process. You know it’s on rail to arrive somewhere by an expected date, can’t that just be good enough? The line of business I’m in is Agronomy, and everyone wants it done yesterday. Business is booming and we are working around the clock. We aren’t sitting still. Drives me nuts when people bug us wondering when we will get there. We will get there when we get there. We are working hard on it I promise! My sticker says it’ll be shipped on rail to Minneapolis, Mn. My dealer isn’t far from there. I can care less where that rail car is or what company’s line is hauling it. It’s on its way and nothing I can do will speed it up. I’m not going to harass the rail company or the dealer, or the trucking company in charge for dealer delivery. Or Ford chat for that matter. It’s coming! You sound like you’re 8 years old waiting on Santa Claus, with a computer. Sorry in advance. Rant over.

Try thinking of others for just a second. Some people...myself included... have to travel across the country to pick up our vehicles. It's very helpful to get estimates of arrival to plan airfare, child care, time off work and the rest of it. What is your business name I'd like very much to avoid it if that's you attitude toward your customers. We aren't all wired the same, we don't all have the same circumstances and Granger for example only gives you 30 days to pick up a vehicle. Some businesses require more lead time than that to get time off. Intolerance is not becoming especially from a business owner...rant over

For those of you folks still waiting on schedule production dates as I am currently. Here Is Tim Bartz You tube channel weekly Scheduling notes. I forgot to jot down the time stamp for super duty which will resume scheduling 11/27 to 12/18 and they are balancing out job 1 early at KTP.
King Ranch and Platinum is currently Exhausted this week Limited is limited. 5th/gooseneck wheel prep kit limited again this week.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Status Update for those trying to time their own orders, etc.

Scheduled Week of 11/13 and went into production 11/9.

This morning (11/23), Ford Site updated to Built.

Still no window sticker on the Ford site, but have seen the window sticker on the alternate site for weeks.

On Motorcraftservice site, still no PCM modules but plenty of BCE modules.

My Ford Pass came alive on 11/21 and getting all kinds of updates from the truck, wherever it may be!

My "non-expert" analysis: The Ford site lags behind quite a bit. Motrcraftservice was better and the modules loading let you know the truck was on the line. Ford Pass app has been best as I believe it started populating updates as soon as truck was off line. So, if you really want to know your truck has been built, the Ford Pass App may be the best indicator.

You are way too sensitive for the internet. Everyone is allowed to voice their opinion whether you like it or not. Philly made a great point.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

If you have to go through that much trouble just to get a truck, maybe you should be a little less picky, or re-prioritize your life. Arranging airfare, child-care,and time off work so you can go on a cross-country trip to get exactly the truck you want a little sooner? How spoiled are you? "Sorry kids, Daddy's off to Texas for 6 days to get his new truck". If you're using your new truck as an excuse for a vacation that's one thing, but just say so. I understand @Philly 's rant. As a business owner, you are the client we fire. The one who is never satisfied.
