2021 6.7 have a high idle option in the truck menu?

Curious as to why it went to high idle on its own? Is it just the cold weather condition?
it could go into high idle for a few reason, one it is regen, which has to be a hot engine to start, but on remote start with it being in the 20s here its always goes into a high idle

Good to know cause it’s always cold in MN. May not need to fuss with adding it. At least for our 9 months of winter.

honestly add it ... it better to have control over it then not having control at all ... for me i don't see a reason. i will use my winch but not for hours on in just a few mins that it all ... now if you get a mobile welder that runs off DC power then you need it for just 5 mins of welding

You really don’t need it for your winch. I don’t have it on my Jeep and I’ve never had any issues, I only have one battery and a small alternator.

I’ll have a welder with me but it’ll be my Hobart 140 sitting in the bed at my base camp. I’ll find 120 if I need it.

yea i agree the winch doesn't need it unless your going hours on in .... i don't see anyone other then a tow truck doing that but hey maybe we been doing it all wrong with the winches on our jeeps

Is there a setting to make it automatically high idle? I installed the mod because my truck has never done it on its own, even in -5F to 15F weather at cold start or while sitting at rest stops.

For what it's worth, if you're doing the high idle mod, you'll need to get creative when soldering and heat shrinking the upfitter switch wire under the dash. An easier alternative may be to add a crimp connector, but generally speaking soldering is always best.

I’m interest to know as well. One that I test drove high idled while I was looking at it but mine never seems to.
