2020 & 2021 Build Dates & Delivery

Mine was ordered on 9/16 (with dealer allocation), had the VIN by 10/1. It was scheduled for build on 11/9 and delivery on 11/30. The Ford tracking site showed in production yesterday, so they might be running ahead of schedule. Hopefully I will see delivery early!

Ordered one...... then I ended up finding a 20 that was exactly what I wanted so i pulled the trigger last night.

Will there be any consequences with your dealer for pulling out of a special order? (ie. Loss of down payment, etc.)

I ordered my F350 Tremor on 08/27/20 and my build date is also scheduled for 11/09/20.
I haven’t seen my window sticker yet and I sure like to. ?
I read that Ford assembles (something like) 40 vehicles/hr ..
Did I read that correctly?

I just got my VIN today, no production date posted though the dealer insists its Nov 30. Order accepted 10/6 pri code 19.

It was a 10. But I ordered the day the 2021 banks open and was initially assigned week of Nov 16, so I suspect dealer allocation has a lot more to do with it. I ordered from a small dealer.
After perusing some other Order threads, it looks like the delivery estimate is often in the 4-5 week after production timeframe, but ends up actually being about 2 and a half or so on average. And has anyone confirmed if factory spray in bed liner adds to production time? Does it have to be sent to another area and wait in line?

I heard it could add time to your build but it doesn't seem to be much if any - my production started on the 2nd and just was notified it is built and awaiting shipment.

Usually the orders are picked up fairly quickly but depends on when your dealer actually submits it.
To clarify on the priority codes 10 is the highest a Dealer can assign and will take typically take priority over other orders in their allocation at a higher priority # ie18. For example if you were assigned a priority 18 by the dealer and they ordered something later with a priority 10, the 10 order should take priority on their allocation slots. There is some give especially if there is material holds and such. Please keep in mind that a priority code 10 doesn’t doesn’t change the dealer allocation slot, just means shouldn’t be getting a bunch of your dealer orders placed after yours filled before yours. Codes below 10 at time of order take a regional manager at Ford to get approved and typically reserved for damaged deliveries or order mistakes on a delivered unit on Fords part. Timing for production is going to be based on when your dealer has allocations not already filled and if no material holds. Open allocation spots not filled by a different dealer with allocation can really change up the timing as well. With the plant getting close to normal you are likely going to see it in 8 to 12 weeks from order to delivery.

I don't know who to believe, because the dealer's system is showing delivery on Nov 23rd, but Ford tracking site says Dec 11th. ?

Finally got a window sticker and status updated to In Production. Dealer gave me a build week of 11/9 and so far things are on schedule.

Thanks; I guess my question really drives at how the allocations work at the regional/corporate level particularly between dealers. I’m guessing it’s straight productions options; if they aren’t exercised it goes up for any others, ranked by priority.

I’m guessing they have a metric that balances that process nationally if you have a small dealer vs big chain?

Estimated 16-day shipping, but delivery date is calculated at 30 days. How many days should I expect for shipping to Nevada?

I ordered my 2021 on Sept 10, dealer called with VIN on Sept 30, build date 11/9 scheduled delivery date 11/30.

As of today, on alumizilla it shows "in production" with no confirmed delivery date.

I ordered 9/18 priority code 10. I got my window sticker on 11/6. It’s been “In Production” since then maybe a couple days before I wasn’t checking daily (like I do now).

This morning it updated to estimated delivery 36 days (12/22).
