305-70R18 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T

I should jump on this and get a 5th tire and KMC wheel. In the process of getting this removable bed mounted tire cage and pro eagle jack. I’m paranoid about getting a flat out in the middle of BFE and not being able to dig out the spare or have it gone flat. This way I can have it in the rotation and always have a serviceable spare, easy to access and change

How does another $100 rebate sound? It looks like this would work?

So, process would fail when I tried to complete it using my phone. Got home, completed the steps and all is good. It is now in review status, but it was accepted and system gave me a confirmation number. Once complete, will bring my overall cost down to about $1300.

You guys are making it extremely hard to hold out on purchasing new tires until this fall. I just had to put tires on the wife’s car and now this.

If I decide to pull the trigger was thinking about leaving off the tire protection coverage since would probably run the Duratrac’s longer knowing I have something else on hand to mount up and waisting up to a 1/3 of the time just sitting in the corner.

You've been around long enough to know this forum is as bad as wives and daughters in helping spend our money 🤣

Since they were a good price and from an online dealer, I left off their extra warranty. I don't need tires until at least this fall either, but figured I grab them at this price.

Ordered Tuesday evening, arrived today via FedEx. Quick once over and they all arrived in good condition. Now, to just convince myself that I don't need to install them yet... The extra $100 rebate is still working its way through the system, has moved from submitted to in review.

I here you on waiting to install but with the cost of these bad boys makes it a little easier to wait. Pricing was too good to pass on the Baja Boss a little early.

I just tried the rebate offer and didn't qualify for whatever reason. Thanks for the link @modified Liking the tires a bunch though. Quieter on the highway, track better, ride better than the duratracs. Ride better on pothole dirt roads especially. But I am running about 5lb lower than the DT 48/45 (7.3) Most of the snow has melted so didn't get a chance to see how they do in snow/ice. I like how they fill out the front wheel wells, although the back is still tucked in a bit too much. Wheels will be in the future at some point.

Didn't waste the DT's they are now on my tundra! Fit great. I had 305/70r17 on before and it would just barely rub and now it's perfect without having to buy another set of new tires.

Looks great. My rebate is still processing. Went from Submitted, to Initial Review and is currently sitting in Final Review status. Either way, still a great deal on the tires.

I have searched and found some images and reviews of 305-70R18 tires on the stock Tremor wheels (only a couple), but curious to see if there are any more people with them or additional reviews.

Right now I am looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T in 305-70-R18. Want to know if there have been any issues mounting them on the stock tremor wheels as I know they are a bit narrow for the the tire. Also I run mud flaps and wondering if they will make contact with them or not.

Unlike a lot of others, I do not hate the duratracs, just looking into other options.

your feedback is greatly appreciated!

For those that were wondering about or bought and then entered the extra rebate from Mickey Thompson, mine was approved today, so brings my overall cost down to $1300 delivered for the set of 4.

I also just got my rebate approved from the Simple Tire purchase just had to include delivery confirmation with the invoice. I got off a little cheaper since went with the 295’s.

So I finally got around to swapping over to the 305-70-R18 Baja Boss tires. I will say I thought many people we crazy when complaining about the duratracs wandering...Looks like I was the crazy one that just simply got used to it. The Mickey's track dead straight with zero wander. Minimal road noise as well. After getting the truck scaled and playing around with air pressures finally settled on 45 psi Front and 35 psi Rear. Truck rides noticeably better. Truck is 8580 lbs empty with driver (4820 lbs F and 3760 R). Obviously will air up when towing. So far very happy with them.

I broke down and had mine installed early, was planning on waiting until closer to winter. Been happy with them so far and running 50psi cold front and rear. Just meant I had to finally breakdown and get my Forscan adapter :)

I like them also, how much did they set you back?
I bought them when SimpleTire was having a crazy sale and then an additional $100 rebate from MT. Tire cost was $1300 to my door and then paid small tire shop $65 for mount and balance.

Discount wouldn't touch them because they are not rated 129...

I have run with BFG Ko2 AT and I’ve also run Toyo open country’s AT in the past. I have gone a set of Mickey Thompsons boss AT’s 325/50R22 I prefer the look and ride of the Mickey Thompsons. My only complaint is they’re super soft for a super duty truck. We have a 12,000 lb 5th wheel and with the torque of the super duty I have ripped chunks out of the tires.
