I Spy... with my little eye | 2023 SD Thread

Build and price doesn’t do a great job with the images based on changes, such as adding the Tremor package. Either way, looks are definitely a downgrade from the 2022 and I don’t think anyone is saying otherwise.

Glad they put up build and price. cant finish build though. Since some options aren’t up yet such as black appearance package.

See, I like the looks. I'm happy with them.

Being happy and liking is one thing, but would you say it’s an upgrade in looks? And of course, looks are subjective so there will be people that like the 2023 better, but seems few and far between.

Max towing - 40,000 lbs.
Max payload - 8,000 lbs.

6.7 HO - 500 hp/1200 tq
6.8 - 405 hp/445 tq
7.3 - 430 hp/485 tq
6.7 - 475 hp/1050 tq

A little disappointing they only eeked out 10 more tq on the 7.3 and no additional hp. But the 6.7 HO is a monster and the 2023 SD is class leading in nearly every configuration across the board.
Where'd you get these numbers?

They are on the "build & price" on Ford.com
Found it

The 40,000 towing is on an F-450 #regularcabdualy with 6.7 HO and max tow. This is not "our" trucks.

I just ran through the build and price and noticed a few things...

Interesting that a 250 will be over 10k now:

Increase in dual alt output:

Assume this is just the typical build and price content error. I haven't looked at the order guide yet:

Overall my build was ~$7k more expensive than my 22MY (F250 Lariat Tremor). OUCH!

Seems like the standard 6.7 is actually more of an up charge (comparing 2022 to 2023) than it looks like because is $10k over the 7.3 which is now the base engine on XLT and up and built into the base price.

Ouch indeed, even without the BAP the Lariat Ultimate 7.3L I had looked at last year is around 6K more. Scared to see what the BAP will add to the price. Even more reasons to hang onto my 2020.

Except all those "best in class " ratings are 2wd XL single cabs......how many do they make in that configuration??

Always wondered that.

Any one heard a conventional towing number for a Tremor? According to the TFL video I think they upped the Tremor gooseneck/5er towing to 23,000 diesel, 21,000 gas (per the article on their website). Curious if the conventional towing was upped too.
